Elden Ring DLC: How To Build The Best Build Around Anvil Hammer? - Tips & Matching Items
Anvil Hammer is a new weapon added in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and it is also a very powerful weapon. As a Colossal Weapon, its moves are relatively slow, but its excellent damage data and high AOE damage make up for this shortcoming.
Before you use Anvil Hammer, you need to make sure you have enough skill points to invest in Strength. only then can the Anvil Hammer reach its full potential. If you haven’t figured out how to build the best build for it, follow the steps in this guide and build the best build for various situations you encounter step by step.
Strengths And Disadvantages
Overall, the biggest power of Anvil Hammer is that it can cause a lot of Stagger Damage, coupled with high Poise Damage, which allows you to break most bosses’ postures in a simple 2-3 normal attacks.
It is worth mentioning that with Hammer category of weapons, whether you use a light swing, a heavy attack, or a charged attack, every swing can break the enemy’s posture. You can use this type of weapon to face some hard-to-lock bosses in the DLC, such as Curseblades or Fire Knights, who will faint on the ground after you hit them.
Having talked about the advantages, now let’s talk about the disadvantages. In addition to being too heavy and only being able to perform slow moves, there are really no other disadvantages. But you can help reduce the impact of this weakness through subsequent stat allocation or matching Elden Ring Items.
Stats Allocation
As mentioned earlier, Strength and Faith are the two most important attributes of Anvil Hammer. However, in terms of priority, Strength is more important than Faith. Besides these two stats, you also need to invest a little in Intelligence and Dexterity, but these two stats will not affect the damage output of the weapon, so you can choose.
The remaining stats should be used on Vigor to increase your health. Or you can choose to put it on Endurance to help you increase endurance and weight. In addition, investing 25 in Mind can get more value from this weapon’s skill Smithing Art Spears, because it only costs 18 FP.
Once you’re over level 150, you can focus on Strength and get it to 80, Faith to 60, and Vigor to 60. If gear load-out becomes an issue, it’s also a good idea to prioritize Endurance until you find a better with your armor of choice.
Best Talismans
Using Anvil Hammer with both hands will trigger Two-Handed Sword Talisman, which will help you increase your damage by 15%. For Shard of Alexander, you can use Ash of War Smithing Art Spears to burst out critical hits. This will allow you to end the fight more easily and obtain Elden Ring Runes faster.
Two-Headed Turtle Talisman is a quality-of-life addition that allows you to restore your stamina at a very amazing rate, which will help you in some long-term battles.
The above are your must-haves, but you can also choose some amulets for special combat situations. For example, Crimson Seed Talisman +1 will increase the amount of healing you receive from Flasks by 30%, which can help you when Vigor exceeds 60. In addition, if you plan to use Anvil Hammer and some shields for guard counterattacks, then Curved Sword Talisman is definitely your best choice.
Best Incantations
First, since it is a Faith-based build, Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength are the best choices, because they can directly enhance your damage output and resistance. In addition, I want to tell you that Anvil Hammer is one of the few weapons in the game that has fire damage, so after you use these Incantations to enhance it, your fire damage will be immeasurable.
For other Incantations, you can choose Electrocharge, so that you can passively enhance the damage when you use Anvil Hammer with two hands. Or Pest-Thread Spears can also provide you with a can’t miss ranged option, which is an easy way to deal with some agile enemies.
Best Seal
In fact, the choice of Seal is closely related to the choice of Incantations. If you don’t want to keep switching, you can directly choose Clawmark Seal, because it is very useful for both Strength and Faith builds.
Best Crystal Tears
In Elden Ring DLC, Flask of Wondrous Physick is mainly used in some tough boss battles to increase your chances of winning the battle. With this in mind, you can choose these two Crystal Tears to help you complete the battle.
When you use Deflecting Hardtear, your spontaneous defense in the hybrid physics will be significantly increased, and it will last for 5 minutes. When you choose Greenspill Crystal Tear, your stamina in the hybrid physics will be temporarily increased for 3 minutes.
You can also use your usual Crystal Tears instead of Greenspill Crystal Tear, which will have a different effect, but the 15% increase in base stamina will leave you with a little stamina after you are hit, which you may be able to used to counterattack or even defeat the enemy directly.
After reading this guide, have you opened your game and decided to change your build? Hopefully, you can use Anvil Hammer effectively in combat and explore Elden Ring DLC! If you encounter any problems during the build process, you are welcome to come to iGMeet Discord to ask for help from the gamers. I’m sure they will be very happy to help you, and you will also have a chance to get some Elden Ring Runes as a bonus!

Elden Ring: Uncover The Sec ...
Iris of Grace and Iris of Occultation are two twin consumables in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree that are easily overlooked and not very clear in-game for their purpose. However, these two Elden Ring Items can be collected as weapons or Spirit Ashes from one of two very powerful NPCs. If you obtain the Irises, try not to use them yourself. You should turn one Iris in to Swordhand of Night Jolán and Fire Knight Queelign. Iris of Grace will give you a new Spirit Ashes, while Iris of Occultation will give you a new weapon. If you are not sure which one to turn in, you can read this guide. This guide will go into detail about their locations and usages. Location Of Irises Of Grace Both Iris of Grace can be found in Shadow Keep, which is also the dark castle where players fight Impaler Messmer in Elden Ring. Iris of Grace is tied to Spirit Ashes, so both Spirit Ashes unlocked by using it are higher level, and one of them unlocks Spirit Ashe for the entire game. While you can only choose between Jolán or Queelign for Iris, you can find two copies of Iris. So don’t play favorites, and if you prefer Spirit Ashes over weapons, you can focus on two Irises of Grace instead of Irises of Occultation. You can hold up to 99 Iris of Grace, but can store up to 600 Iris of Grace. Here are the locations of the two Irises of Grace: Location #1: On The First Floor Of Warehouse Take the elevator to the lower floor, defeat Flesh Pot Monster nearby, then collect Irises of Grace nearby. Location #2: In Tree-Worship Sanctum After draining Church district, you can find Iris of Grace next to Statue of Marika south of Scadutree Avatar boss fight in Elden Ring. Location Of Irises Of Occultation There are two Irises of Occultation at opposite ends of Scadu Altus. The first is in the basement of Fort of Reprimand, and the other is in Shadow Keep’s Church District. Before you head to Tree-Worship Sanctum Site of Grace to get the second Iris of Grace, you can stop by to find Shadow Keep Iris. Like Iris of Grace, you can hold up to 99 Irises of Occultation, but you can store up to 600 Irises of Occultation. Here are the locations of the two Irises of Occultation: Location #1: Church District Entrance Once you’ve cleared Church District, take the elevator to Blessing Point at the entrance to Church District and defeat Cankered Tree Spirit. You will receive Iris of Occultation and some Elden Ring Runes as a reward. Location #2: Fort Of Reprimand Located at the southern end of Skadu Altas, it forms part of a secret route to this area if you want to skip Ensis Castle and its final boss battle with Twin Moon Knights, Lelana, at Graveyard Plains. Go underground through the hole in the main arena and defeat the Lesser Omenkiller to get the Iris of Occultation. Give Irises To Swordhand Of Night Jolán Jolan is a knight in black armor and a spiked helmet who will be waiting for you between two cliffs in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree with a sword in hand. Swordhand of Night Jolán will appear during Count Ymir’s quest. Ymir will ask you to ring three different Finger Ruins, which will culminate in a battle with Metyr, Mother of Fingers, Jolán herself, and then Count Ymir. When you talk to Jolán, you can give her either the Iris of Grace or Iris of Occultation. If you give her Iris of Occultation, you will receive a Dexterity Katana, Sword of Night. Similarly, giving her Iris of Grace will give you Swordhand of Night Jolan Ash. This Ash is one of the very important necessities mentioned above in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Give Irises To Fire Knight Queelign Fire Knight Queelign is Marika’s knight. He is not so friendly and will try to kill you, but this is your best chance to get close to him. You can first encounter Queelign as an Invader in Tower Settlement in Belurat. After defeating him there, you will be rewarded with a Crusade Talisman. Afterwards, he will prepare to ambush you in Church of Crusade. During this battle, Prayer Room Key and Ash of War can be dropped. After this, when you reach Shadow Keep and Church District, you will find the true body of Fire Knight Queelign in Prayer Room. After you give Iris of Grace to Fire Knight Queelign, he will give you Fire Knight Queelign Spirit Ash. This Spirit Ash is very aggressive and can cast fire spells. Similarly, after giving him Iris of Grace, he will drop Queelign’s Greatsword. Queelign’s Greatsword is a Heavy Thrusting Sword, and like Sword Lance, it is one of the lesser-known weapons in the game. In Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, no matter which path you choose, you can enjoy exploring the Land of Shadow and get corresponding rewards. I wish you an auspicious time in DLC!Jul-04-2024

Elden Ring: The Base Game B ...
There are a lot of new fun and powerful builds in Shadow of the Erdtree that come with excitement, especially when facing some extremely tough challenges, such as boss difficulties. As you know, they are not completely new content in DLC, they are still at least as powerful as before. Today we will talk about a build from the base game, which completely destroys DLC. These will be something you can at least build up before stepping into Shadow of the Erdtree, and then feel as powerful as possible from that position. Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike, which is pretty much the most powerful thing in Elden Ring base game, it requires a one-charge spell to be cast somewhere near the boss, and as long as the setup is correct, the boss will be defeated. If you want to RNG multiple lightning strikes on them, it sometimes takes a couple of tries, there’s no real trick to it, just get it to line up, this isn’t really different in Shadow of the Erdtree, bosses have more health, but there are ways to increase this damage further in Shadow of the Erdtree Blessing Level system. Just because of DLC itself, it might take an extra cast, just to show how strong it is. Optimize Spell Damage This is largely just the base game version of the build, with only minor upgrades. You want the spell itself, you ideally want two Gravel Stone Seals, one in each hand, as they enhance Dragon Cult Incantation Spells by 15%, and this stacks, but you usually only get one of these per play, maybe try using Elden Ring Items in exchange for a second Gravel Stone Seal if you want to stack damage quickly. Another alternative offhand is the dagger with Endurance Weapon skill, so you can actually cast spells more consistently as well. On top of that, you also need to put a Light Straight Sword in your actual offhand, just to actually put seppuku on. Because we’re going to use this to trigger White Mask and Lord of Blood, increasing all damage we deal by 30% for 20 seconds after doing this. When And How To Spellcasting? You only need to use this before starting a boss fight, because if the fight ends with no spells in 20 seconds, then, you’ll still be glad you had it in the first 20 seconds because the boss is probably almost dead, after that, you can use Godfrey Icon Talisman, for 15% increased charged spell damage, or Lightning Scorpion Charm, for 12% increased lightning damage. Then Flock’s Canvas Talisman, for 8% increased spell damage. Of course, you also have the lightning damage boost in your flask. You can even use it with an upgraded Boosts Poise or Ironjar Aromatic. The damage will be high. So much so that the guaranteed casting itself has an enormous benefit to general stats. For this, you mainly just need to reach 80 Faith, otherwise you need the stamina to get some heavier armor. This is the version built from the base game, and it completely smashes Shadow of the Erdtree from start to finish. The vast majority of his powers also appear before you touch Madding Hand and enter the realm, and while his basics haven’t changed since the release of DLC, they’re actually getting better with every new addition to the game, so you can even improve them on your journey through DLC.Jul-11-2024

Elden Ring: These New Range ...
In Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, besides providing players with a new area, some new bosses, and some new armor, some ranged weapons have been added, including bows, crossbows, and Repeating Crossbow, which allow you to defeat enemies without getting in close contact in combat. Among the new ranged weapons in DLC, there are bows with high damage and great scaling, and some of them can fire multiple arrows after a single reload. In addition, there are some Talismans that are more effective when used with some of them. Here are the new ranged weapons added to Shadow of the Erdtree. Repeating Crossbow Status Requirements: 13 Strength & 15 Dexterity Max Damage (+10): 259 For Physical Repeating Crossbow does exactly what it says, firing multiple arrows in rapid succession when using Repeating Fire skill, which means it can deal continuous damage to enemies. Like the other Crossbows in Elden Ring, it doesn’t follow any of your stats, but if you feed it enough Somber Smith Stone, it can go from a backup weapon to your major weapon. Want to know where this powerful weapon is? You need to go to Site of Grace south of Moorth Highway and then walk north. Here you can find Repeating Crossbow next to Ghostflame Dragon and some Elden Ring Runes. Igon’s Greatbow Status Requirements: 23 Strength & 16 Dexterity Max Scaling (+25): C Strength & E Dexterity Max Damage (+10): 294 For Physical If you want to use your Strength build to fight the enemy, Igon’s Greatbow will be your best choice. Not only because of its excellent scaling and high base damage but also because it has Igon’s Drake Hunt, a wonderful skill in the game. In this weapon, because it is an advanced version of Through and Through, you can twist the bowstring to increase its power. In addition, you can also match it with Igon’s Harpoons to get the maximum damage to the enemy. Unlike Repeating Crossbow, Igon’s Greatbow only needs Smith Stones to upgrade, so the upgrade conditions of this weapon are simpler. Since it is Igon’s Greatbow, you must summon Igon. However, you don’t summon it to fight it, but to let it help you defeat Bayle The Dread, a dragon entrenched in Jagged Peak. After you win, Igon will leave its bow and armor to you. Spread Crossbow Status Requirements: 11 Strength & 17 Dexterity Max Damage (+25): 272 For Physical Spread Crossbow provides you with the easiest way to counter the various status effects generated by the boss. This is because the most basic attack of Tarnished is to fire multiple arrows at once, and can make the boss suffer sleep or blood loss effects depending on the type of arrows. Its skill, Kick is not surprising, but fortunately its upgrade material is also Smith Stones that can be found everywhere, which can make it slightly more useful. However, you still need to be careful that you need to have enough arrows equipped, because Spread Crossbow will consume arrows very quickly. Spread Crossbow is guarded by Messmer Soldiers on the right side of Ellac Greatbridge. You need to cross the bridge (or river) and defeat them to obtain this weapon. Ansbach’s Longbow Status Requirements: 9 Strength & 43 Dexterity Max Scaling (+10): D Strength & D Dexterity Max Damage (+10): 181 For Physical Thanks to its ability, Fan Shot, Ansbach’s Longbow is one of the best Longbows in the game. It can fire 8 arrows at once, and with some stats, even the biggest bosses will be affected by bleeding or rot. Although it may seem that this weapon requires very little Strength, don’t forget that you need to reach 43 Dexterity to use it. Check your Dexterity now! Like Repeating Crossbow, as long as you use enough Somber Smith Stones, you can get a better chance of winning in battle. Before you can get Ansbach’s Longbow, you need to make sure you have completed Ansbach’s quest in Shadow Keep. Completion here means that it is possible to kill him directly or help him fight invaders. Bone Bow Status Requirements: 8 Strength & 11 Dexterity Max Scaling (+10): D Strength & D Dexterity Max Damage (+10): 161 For Physical Although Bone Bow is not as outstanding in terms of damage compared to other weapons, it can stand out in Light Bow category with its own skill Rancor Shot. Light Bow allows players to fire a series of energy-infused arrows and is difficult to miss. In addition, its long range and lightweight are also plus points for it. Somber Smith Stones mentioned above are also its upgrade materials. Remember to pick up more Somber Smith Stones during the exploration process. The location of Bone Bow is in Belurat Tower Settlement you will see when you first enter DLC, or more specifically, in a tower with a broken spiral staircase. The process of taking it is not smooth sailing, but don’t worry, Spider-Scorpions inside are no match for you. Hopefully, these ranged weapons will play an important role in your battles. Have fun playing Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and exploring more stories!Jun-30-2024

Elden Ring: How About This ...
For a Samurai build who wants to level up quickly in the latest expansion, I prefer to prioritize finding one of the newest weapons that fits our play style, Great Katana. Many players are also looking forward to getting this weapon. If you want to get Great Katana as early as possible in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree without being spoiled, then don’t miss this guide. In this guide, I tell you the best way to get the earliest Great Katana in the game, as spoiler-free as possible so that you can get a fresh experience before venturing into the core of DLC. At the same time, here I also provide my first impressions of Great Katana. Without further ado, let’s get started! Great Katana Breakdown Great Katana is a new weapon in Shadow of the Erdtree. This Heavy weapon is a sound choice for those who like to use Katana but want to stance-break more effectively and deal more damage at the same time. Great Katana scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity, making it one of the best weapon choices for Dexterity and Arcane Builds. In addition, this weapon comes with Ash of War: Overhead Stance. When using Ash of War, you can enter a stance that holds Katana high above your head. Normal attacks will push you forward for a downward slash, while heavy attacks will do a series of overhead slashes. Location To get this super cool weapon, we still need to access DLC. You need to first defeat Starscourge Radahn, then go to Mohgwyn Palace and defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood. Once you’ve completed both of these steps, you can interact with Miquella’s Cocoon, which is located in Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum, where you’ll fight Mohg, thus entering Land of Shadow and starting DLC. Although we need to enter DLC to get this weapon, luckily, we don’t have to fight any bosses in Land of Shadow. Once you enter DLC area, we just need to head straight to it. This is a real Godsend, as it’s not far from your first Site of Grace, Gravesite Plain. From Gravesite Plain Site of Grace in DLC, we need to head north. To speed things up, you can ignore all the enemies you may encounter along the way. Of course, if you’re not in a hurry, you can just hack and slash around to collect some Elden Ring Runes. Our goal is to reach a lake located just north of our current location. Now, if you look at the map, you’ll see that there are three large lakes around this area, but the one we need to go to is the middle one. Once you reach the location, you’ll notice a sleeping dragon. You don’t need to fight this mini-boss, as you can get around it by crouching down. Note that there is a corpse near the dragon, and that’s the corpse we need to loot. Slowly crouch down close to the corpse and loot it to get Great Katana. It’s totally simple and easy. Personal Impressions Great Katana looks and feels great when wielded. I knew this weapon would resonate with me the first time I saw it, and it didn’t disappoint. All of its current moves are really refreshing. Its normal attack reminds me of Monster Hunter’s Longswords, especially when performing an upward swing. Its basic skill Overhead Stance is definitely familiar and Sekiro players will notice it immediately because it is similar to Ichimonji Combat Arts. There is no doubt that this skill hits like a truck. However, because of its long preparation time, doing this stance may be intimidating to some people. But since I go for skill, I am happy with it. Of course, if you don’t like this skill, you can always change it. Not to mention that we will see a lot of new Ashes of War in DLC area, which makes this weapon have a longer range, so I think it will be a deadly tool when playing PVP. As for damage, Great Katana hits hard at the maximum upgrade, but its slow attack speed is very obvious. When dealing with fast-moving targets or bosses, such as Maliketh, the Black Blade and others, the safest attack we can perform per opening is two or three hits. Conclusion Overall, Great Katana feels really good so far and it hasn’t been disappointed. I can’t wait to build around it, and just thinking about the different Samurai theme setups we can get from it makes me excited. So, expect me to provide an early Samurai Build in case you want to use such a build for your first play with this weapon in DLC. My major goal is to get you to master this weapon, so stay tuned. Anyway, I hope you found this quick guide useful. Of course, this is not a be-all and end-all guide for Great Katana, as we’re sure to discover more potential for this legendary weapon as time goes on. Do you think this DLC is worth trying so far? If you already own this weapon, please share your experience with us!Jun-21-2024
