Diablo 4 Roadmap 2025 Players Review: Why Does It Disappoint Players?
Diablo 4 recently announced its 2025 roadmap, which is their update plan for 2025. In their expected plan, there will be 3 seasonal updates in 2025. Each update will add new powers and make appropriate adjustments to the game content, such as the difficulty of the boss and the content of the dungeon. In addition, there will be two collaborations with other IPs in this year’s update.
However, players are not excited about the roadmap announced by Diablo 4 company. In fact, quite a few players are disappointed.
Why Are Players Disappointed?
1. Less Content
From the published roadmap, the focus of each season is to change the power of the season, and the description of other parts is very vague. Reddit user MaiasXVI described the 2025 roadmap like this:
Season 7
- Seasonal gimmick power
- Introducing new currency and armory features, which should have been available when the game was released
Season 8
- Seasonal gimmick power
- Old bosses from Diablo III
Season 9
- Seasonal gimmick power
- Slightly updated Nightmare Dungeon
- Console KB&M Support (they should have been there at Diablo 4 launch day, too)
- More to come!
Season 10
- Seasonal gimmick power
- Stay tuned!
2026
- Stay tuned!
Overall, this roadmap is lackluster. Diablo 4 has such a long development period each season, but they never come up with something that really changes the game. They took a lot of time on insignificant stat tweaks to try to get players to waste more time leveling up or collecting Diablo 4 Gold. Players complain that Diablo 4 developers are even slower than indie developers.
2. The Roadmap Is Vague
Another reason why players are unhappy or even angry about this roadmap is that the information on this roadmap is too brief and there is not much useful information. Each season has a seasonal force, and all players know that the developers of Diablo 4 will update it this way. The information about Season 10 is the most perfunctory.
These vague contents show that the developers themselves have not figured out what new content to bring to the game, perhaps making an ending, or a leaderboard, etc.
Diablo Community Manager Lyricana Nightrayne had to respond to these arguments. He said that the content shown in the roadmap is not all the content, and the content development team of the second half of Diablo 4 in 2025 is still exploring.
This roadmap is like a new coat of paint every season. It looks very perfunctory, and there is almost no new content that can continue after the end of the season.
3. Repeated Gameplay
Each season of Diablo 4 has fallen into a similar vortex, with no refreshing content. Players in each Season are almost repeating the same things: leveling, farming gold, and looking for legendary items.
And the loot of Diablo 4 is also disappointing. The essence of Diablo 3 is that you get that dopamine rush when you see a beam of color in a pile of drops and then decide if it’s worth what you want.
But Diablo 4’s loot is all boring, generic items, like gold or ordinary quality weapons. You can’t visually identify which items are really good. You have to carefully check each loot before throwing it in the trash, and most of the time the game drops are cookie-cutter garbage.
While loot filters can reduce the monotonous garbage a little, it doesn’t make the loot exciting.
4. Inducing Consumption
A common complaint in the player community is that more and more updates in Diablo 4 tend to make players consume: $70 game, $40 expansion, $10 battle pass, and skins of more than $20.
Players predict that IP cooperation is just to launch new appearances. This model provides Diablo 4 developers with sufficient funds, and the interval between each season is also long, but they still haven’t come up with something new.
Players feel that Diablo 4 is a half-finished product, and many things have not been solved, but the developers have lost their original intention and only want to come up with a new look and induce player consumption.

Mike Ybarra’s Comments
Mike Ybarra, former president of Diablo 4 company, also criticized the roadmap for not solving the core problems of the game at all. He believes that the game has been stuck in a three-month restart cycle since the release of the fourth season, and has been standing still. If they can’t get rid of this cycle, then he doesn’t know where Diablo 4 will go.
The 2025 roadmap of Diablo 4 does not solve the core problems of the game, which is why all players are disappointed. Some players think that the problem with Diablo 4 is that they don’t feel any connection with the long journey of empowering and upgrading characters. It feels like a math exercise rather than a game process.
They want changes to the novice area and the end of the game area. They come to each new area and everything feels the same, which kills any sense of immersion. Games can create many ways to improve your character, but creating a world that you can immerse yourself in is what differentiates one game from another.

Diablo 4 Season 9 Reliquary ...
Diablo 4 Season 9’s Reliquary Battle Pass follows the style of Season 8, splitting the original Battle Pass into four parts. The developers explained that they wanted players to use Platinum for whatever they wanted, but the fact is that it made everything more complicated. The new Reliquary Battle Pass is far less simple and intuitive than the original Battle Pass, and players have also reported that it gives them fewer rewards. Season 9 Reliquary Battle Pass Reliquary Battle Pass is divided into three different categories, and all but the free Battle Pass requires Platinum to unlock. Unlike Diablo 4 Gold, Platinum can only be got by topping up and cannot be dropped in the game. The free part of the battle pass is Sins of the Horadrim Reliquary, and you can also get each one free item in Weapon, Beast, and Armor Reliquaries. Premium Battle Pass (1,000 Platinum) includes the rewards from Free Battle Pass, plus all three Reliquary rewards, which unlock The Iron Demon Armor Set. Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle (2,800 Platinum) includes all the rewards, plus The Iron Demon Armor Set, plus two additional cosmetic items, Chains of the Iron Demon (Back Trophy) and Scapegoat (Pet). Most of the rewards in the battle pass are cosmetic, which simply change the appearance of your Diablo 4 items and do not provide any improvements to your character. If you don’t like the cosmetics in the Reliquary Battle Pass, then there is no need to unlock Premium or Deluxe Battle Pass. How To Unlock The Rewards On The Battle Pass? To unlock the content in the battle pass, you need to complete quests or kill demons to earn Favor tokens. Favor tokens replace the previous battle pass progress. After you get enough Favor tokens, you can unlock any unlockable item. But the drop rate of Favor Tokens is far lower than that of Diablo 4 gold. You can only get one or two Favor Tokens at a time. And Favor Tokens have a stacking limit, you can only stack up to 99. However, they will not disappear with the end of the season, and you can use them to unlock the battle pass of the next season. Season 9 Reliquary Battle Pass Rewards: Free Battle Pass (Sins of the Horadrim Reliquary) 6 Favor Tokens: Door of the Iron Demon (Town Portal) 2 Favor Tokens: Nightslayer’s Crossbow (Cosmetic Crossbow) 2 Favor Tokens: Nightslayer’s Mace (Cosmetic Mace) 2 Favor Tokens: Nightslayer’s Dualaxe (Cosmetic Glaive) 8 Favor Tokens: Eventine (Horse Mount) 5 Favor Tokens: Nightslayer’s Barding (Horse Armor) 5 Favor Tokens: 100 Platinum 5 Favor Tokens: 100 Platinum Bonus Reward: Claws of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Gloves) Weapons Reliquary (Premium) 2 Favor Tokens: Free Nightslayer’s Bomb (Cosmetic Focus) 3 Favor Tokens: Premium Torch of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Sorcerer Staff) 3 Favor Tokens: Premium Greataxe of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Two-Handed Axe) 3 Favor Tokens: Premium Ax of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Ax) 3 Favor Tokens: Premium Brand of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Sword) 3 Favor Tokens: Premium Greatsword of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Two-Handed Sword) 3 Favor Tokens: PremiumFork of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Polearm) Bonus Reward: Fetters of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Boots) Beasts Reliquary (Premium) 2 Favor Tokens: Free Nightslayer’s Stiletto (Cosmetic Dagger) 10 Favor Tokens: Premium Ferrukal, Thrall of Iron (Cat Mount) 7 Favor Tokens: Premium Ferrukal’s Saddle (Cat Armor) 5 Favor Tokens: Premium The Iron Flame (Mount Trophy) 6 Favor Tokens: Premium Little William (Pet) 8 Favor Tokens: Premium The Scarred Mare (Horse Mount) 5 Favor Tokens: Premium Bridle of Scars (Horse Armor) Premium Bonus Reward: Bonds of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Pants) Armor Reliquary (Premium) 2 Favor Tokens: Free Nightslayer’s Scythe (Cosmetic Two-Handed Scythe) 15 Favor Tokens: Premium Nightslayer Spiritborn Armor (Cosmetic Armor Set) 15 Favor Tokens: Premium Nightslayer Necromancer Armor (Cosmetic Armor Set) 15 Favor Tokens: Premium Nightslayer Druid Armor (Cosmetic Armor Set) 8 Favor Tokens: Premium Gates of the Iron Demon (Town Portal) 15 Favor Tokens: Premium Nightslayer Rogue Armor (Cosmetic Armor Set) 15 Favor Tokens: Premium Nightslayer Barbarian Armor (Cosmetic Armor Set) 15 Favor Tokens: Premium Nightslayer Sorcerer Armor (Cosmetic Armor Set) Premium Bonus Reward: Crest of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Helm) and Cage of the Iron Demon (Cosmetic Chest Armor) Compared to previous battle passes, Season 9 gives players less Platinum. The rewards for Season 7 battle pass still gave players 700 Platinum, but the Season 9 Reliquary Battle Pass doesn’t give that much. Another point that players complain about is the bundle. Players can use 500 Platinum to unlock a single Reliquary, and 1500 Platinum is required to unlock three Reliquaries. However, players can use 1000 Platinum to unlock Premium Battle Pass, which is undoubtedly a more economical choice. However, once the player has unlocked one of Reliquary in advance, he can no longer unlock Premium Battle Pass, which is definitely a rather weird design. Many players have expressed dissatisfaction with the new Reliquary Battle Pass, both in terms of perfunctory content and unreasonable unlocking methods. The developer said that they have heard the feedback from players, but it may take until Season 10 or even 11 to make improvements.Jul-02-2025

Diablo 4 Season 7: What Cha ...
According to the current news released by the developers, the seventh season of Diablo 4 will meet with players on January 21, 2025. Some time ago, the PTR for this new season officially ended, and many players were fortunate to participate in it and put forward their own feedback for the improvement of the game. Among the new game content in Season 7, the most worth introducing is that there may be a Class using Witchcraft Powers added to the game, which may bring more and better game experience and more build possibilities to players. In addition, the original Classes have also undergone some changes. Among them, the biggest change is Spiritborn, which was once a darling of Season 6, but it may be weakened in the new season. However, this guide is not mainly about it, but the controversial Sorcerer and Druid in the last season, both of which have received many disagreements because of their one-sided strength but the lack of the other. Next, let’s take a look at what changes these two Classes will have in the next season! Sorcerer Compared to the previous season, the spells cast by Sorcerer in Season 7 can become hotter or colder, and can make players more excited when manipulating it. First of all, in the new season, Sorcerer has two new Uniques - Strike of Stormhorn and Okun’s Catalyst. They bring you a new good friend called Super Ball Lightning, which can spin like a hula hoop full of lightning and cause irresistible lightning damage to the enemy, so that you can stride forward unhindered. In addition to the new skill Ball Lightning, there is also a new skill called Inferno, which can increase the vulnerability to enemies inside the group of enemies, and the fire skill of Sorcerer has also been greatly enhanced, which is what I just said that this Class has become hotter. For colder, it is because Deep Freeze skill has been changed, and its damage has become stronger and it can provide you with a barrier when you thaw. There are also a number of changes to Enchantments and Passives, making your builds in Season 7 healthier, faster to clear, and more flexible, making it much easier to get loot and Diablo 4 Gold with your Sorcerer next season, and speeding up your game progress. Legendary Aspects, which are very important to Sorcerer build, have also undergone some changes, such as Pyro, Frost, and Shock skills, which have multiple functions for generating barriers, helping you increase your movement speed and attack speed, and immobilization, which can give you a better advantage in the challenge of some bosses. Not only that, the Ball Lightning enhancement function just introduced can make you a static destruction field for enemies. Overall, the poor survivability that was criticized last season may be greatly improved next season. This will be very good news for some players who like to stand in the safe range and use spells to defeat enemies, so that they don’t have to spend a lot of effort on gear that improves defense in their Sorcerer builds and give up damage enhancements. Also Read: Does Diablo 4 Season 7 Indicate The Return Of Doctor Witch In The Next DLC? Druid Druid is getting some love from the developers in the next season, which is reflected in the addition of Uniques and some skill improvements. First, the most noteworthy Unique is Malefic Crescent Amulet, which can greatly increase the critical damage and movement speed of a Druid in werewolf form, and the level of Feral Aptitude has also been increased. On top of that, the damage of Lupine Ferocity on consecutive critical hits has also been increased by 100%-150% by this item. In addition, Mjölnic Ryng allows Druid to gain unlimited Spirit and 40%-100% increased damage while Cataclysm is active, which greatly improves the shortcomings of the Class’s poor damage ability. Not only that, Tempest Roar can also convert some of your Willpower damage into Willpower in combat, making you more tanky. Not only is the poor damage ability a disadvantage that players have been discussing, but the information that Druid lacks flexibility is also widely known. But fortunately, in Season 7, Druid’s proud Hurricane skill can be cast while moving, increasing its chances of winning in battles that require a certain degree of flexibility. As for other attack damage skills, they have all been improved to some extent, such as Raging Shred, which will increase your skill set by 30% poison damage and Grizzly Rage by 60%. The most exaggerated one can be said to be Lacerate, whose damage value has increased to 600% of the original! It can be predicted here that this skill will definitely become one of the most important skills in Druid’s build because it is too powerful. In previous seasons, Druid’s Passives can be said to be very difficult to choose, because only one of the strong survivability and damage ability can be retained. But in Diablo 4 Season 7, you may no longer be bothered by this problem, because several passive skills that deal damage have been buffed. For example, Lupine Ferocity will increase your critical hit damage by 75% for every three Werewolf casts that hit, Heightened Senses will increase your movement speed by 3% in werewolf form, and Charged Atmosphere will increase your build’s lightning damage by 10%. Since Druid is the only Class in the game with human and beast multi-forms, the choice of Spirit Boons is also very important for the build. In view of this, the developers have made certain enhancements to Deer and Wolf: the former can help you deal 5% extra damage with subsequent damage attacks when attacked, while the latter allows you to restore all your Spirit when you cast Lucky Hit. These are some changes you will see for the Sorcerer and Druid classes in Diablo 4 Season 7. Since the official version of the next season has not yet been announced, some of the key attributes and statistics in this guide are not accurate and are for reference only. You can also participate in some giveaways for D4 game products in iGMeet Discord in your free time, which may make your exploration of the next season easier.Dec-30-2024

Diablo 4 Season 5: What Bui ...
With Diablo 4 Season 5 just around the corner, Public Test Realm (PTR) has opened up to players, sparking a lot of discussion about the most powerful builds for each class. However, this is likely to change after PTR. Players will also need to consider which builds are easiest to play, which require very specific setups, and which classes may have bugs during PTR. Sorcerers, in particular, have been incredibly buggy with a pair of new unique skills. These two new sorcerer skills interact somewhat uniquely, capable of dealing massive amounts of damage to enemies without requiring any extra effort from the player. Although Druids were also said to have technical issues during PTR, players are still excited about the future. Based on the initial changes and patch notes, we're going to look at the builds worth trying in Diablo 4 Season 5. 1. Flay Barbarian It seems that no matter what nerfs were implemented to Barbarians in Diablo 4; they are expected to remain very strong in Season 5. While the nerfs to Bash are justified, the class still has a wide variety of skills to exploit. Recommended builds include Flay, Rupture, Steel Grasp, War Cry, Challenging Shout, and Iron Skin. This is likely because of the unique capabilities of the new Third Blade. Converting Weapon Mastery skills to Fury Core Skills is expected to be extremely powerful. In fact, it’s hard to choose between several Barbarian builds. There are several Whirlwind builds that are also viable, not to mention Rupture builds. However, the most recommended is Flay / Rupture build. Despite the nerfs, Bash still has a good performance, and in order to maximize the potential of Flay / Rupture build, players can invest a lot of Diablo 4 Gold to get the best equipment and upgrades to ensure that these powerful skills can be effectively utilized. 2. Companion Druid Although Companion Druid companion suffered from some bugs in Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR, perhaps this will make for an incredible gaming experience. In some cases, Poison Creeper deals up to ~13 Trillion damage - an issue that seems certain to be fixed before the season begins. Shepherd’s Aspect provides bonus damage output per companion, while Aspect of the Alpha transforms your Wolf Companions into even more powerful Werewolf Companions. These companions deal a ton of extra damage and can spread Rabies, greatly increasing the potential of this class. I expect Landslide builds will also perform well, but I’m more looking forward to witnessing the power of friendship in Season 5. 3. Bone Spirit Necromancer The first thing that comes to mind is Summon Necromancer, but given the changes to PTR and the buffs to Bone Spirit builds, I do agree with the consensus that Overpower Bone Spirit is going to be a real headache. With so many buffs and two spirits at the same time? Now seems like a good time to try out other builds. Crown of Lucion will help many classes, and Necromancer is no exception. Then, combine Bone Prison with the new unique item, Shard of Verathiel, and all that extra damage becomes even more significant. Another reason to be excited about this build is the new Path of Trag’oul unique boots. Not only do they extend the range of Bone Prison’s traps, they also fire 10 to 30 Bone Splinters. Additionally, each time a Bone Splinter hits a target, Maximum Essence grows by 2 points for 10 seconds, so you can destroy enemies faster than ever before in Diablo 4 Season 5. 4. Heartseeker Rogue Victimizer It has undergone a significant but reasonable nerf in Diablo 4 Season 5. Although Victimizer skill may feel difficult to play now, precision is still a viable option. Poison builds are expected to perform well for Rogue this season, with Heartseeker Rogue concept being particularly favored, especially the significant buff to Andariel’s Visage. The new Poison Nova and all-around excellent attributes will make the game even more interesting. You also have Umbracrux to support your Subterfuge skills. Whenever you use a Subterfuge skill, it creates a Shade Totem, and any damage done to Totem is reflected to nearby enemies at 30% effectiveness. You can only have two Shade Totem at a time, and they count as Trap skill damage. This should be a fun time for Rogues - they will have plenty of options. 5. Chain Lightning Even if Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR fixes the corruption bug, Chain Lightning will remain as powerful as it is. There is a weird and flawed interaction between Crown of Lucion and Axial Conduit Uniques that ends up causing extremely high damage. If these issues are fixed, it will still make for a devastating combination when you get them both. Axial Conduit causes your Chain Lightning to switch between orbiting and seeking while draining your mana. After it has consumed 66 mana, Lightning explodes, dealing additional Lightning Damage. You can combine this with Crown of Lucion’s 75% Resource Cost Reduction to increase damage output when you invest Primary Resource into skills. As the season approaches, players should pay close attention to patch notes and community discussions to quickly adapt to changes and optimize their game strategies. Whether through carefully planned skill combinations or by investing Diablo 4 Gold to upgrade their equipment, players can stand out in this new season full of challenges and opportunities. Finally, if you are looking for more game resources, there is a Giveaway function in iGMeet discord, which will release product gift information from time to time.
