Diablo 4 Season 4: Tempering, Enchanting And Upgrading Gear The Most Comprehensive Guide
Hello, everyone. I hope you can upgrade items during the leveling process in Diablo 4 Season 4. The following information in this guide will be useful for you before you reach World Tier 4.
If you start to your endgame build tinkering, I will explain what tempering is and how to use it in the game. We will also discuss enchanting your gear.
When it comes to Tempering or Enchanting the gear you own, investing in Diablo 4 Gold will make your gear even more perfect.
And lastly, I will share with you my logic when it comes to the order of upgrading mechanics. Make sure to check out this last chapter of this passage so you don’t waste tons of gold in the process.
So let’s get into it.
How Tempering Works in Diablo 4?
First, what is tempering? Diablo 4 Season 4 changed a lot of stuff around the loot stats and upgrading items. One of such changes is the addition of tempering, which is a new system of upgrading your items.
Prior to Season 4, you would find loot with all the stats already available on the item. And then you would just change one single stat through the enchanting process and upgrade the item to make the stats higher.
In Season 4, however, you drop items with less amount of stats available on them than before. Rare items have 2 Affixes, 3 legendaries, and 4 Uniques but then you can add powerful Affixes on an item with tempering.
So what tempering does is basically add up to two new powerful affixes to item. However, before you reach World Tier 4 and start dropping in Ancestral item Rarity. You will be able to add only one Affixes.
The number of times you can temper an item is limited. And depends on Rarity of the item. Early items will have a limit of three attempts and then we have Ancestral items which drop at World Tier 4. And those allow us to temper 5 times. Important to note is that tempering can be done only for rare and legendary items.
Uniques cannot be tempered also bear in mind that when you roll tempered Affixes, you do not have an option to keep the old one. The new Affixes always override the old one. And so there is a risk factor here, especially when you are on your last temper attempt available.
So starting the tempering process, you have to go to Blacksmith and click the first tab. The process does not cost any gold but requires a couple of materials. You will get tons of necessary materials as you play the game.
I salvage most of my rares and Legendaries I also temper a lot so far. And I was never short on materials for tempering my gear. Whenever I wanted to change my stuff during the leveling process, besides materials, you also need manuals, which are a list of few stat outcomes for tempering.
One of the Affixes from the manual will be randomly added during the tempering process. You find manuals by just simply playing the game. They drop just like any other loot. These manuals have different Rarities. And these Rarities is impact the range of values of the stats available with the manual.
Basically, the higher Rarity of manual, the better the stats possible manuals are also split into six categories. And these categories work like categories of aspects. Every item type has different possible tempering categories. So for gloves, you can add a utility or offensive category. For pens, you have only defensive or utility categories and so on.
The good thing is that once you find the manual, it’s unlocked permanently. So you don’t need to search for it again and again, which is neat.
Enchanting in Diablo 4 Season 4
Now let’s briefly discuss enchanting your items. Enchanting is a process which modifies one Affixes available on your gear. To this process cannot change the row-based stats of item like damage dealt on weapons or base armor on gloves. Affixes to be changed are marked with dots and are located under this horizontal line.
To enchant your item, you need to go to the occultist and click on the fourth tab. Once you put the item you want to enchant, you can click the icon in the top right corner of enchanting window. To see the potential outcomes of the process. This is super useful to help you understand what stats you can actually get and what are the ranges.
When you enchant any item, you get three choices, two new stats and an option to retain the initial Affixes. The enchanting process takes few materials and a substantial amount of gold, the tricky case that every time you enchant the same item. The cost of the process increases, the price of gold can reach insane amounts. So be mindful of it.
Upgrading Gear Efficiently During Leveling
And let me explain the thought process I use for upgrading any item that I want to use. I think applying this logic may save you a lot of gold during the leveling process. Since we can modify our gear a lot in Season 4.
I look mainly for Legendary item drop with good base row power and two out of free stats that are fitting my build. I don’t care for Legendary Power since I can change it easily now with Codex of Power.
By the way, the aspects are now permanently unlocked when salvaging an item. And the highest value salvaged will be always available in a Codex of Power, not just the lowest base value like before.
I also don’t need perfect free out of free stats because I can swap out one Affixes with an enchanting process. I will always start the process of tinkering an item with tempering. This is because we have a limited number of tempering attempts and the stats available through the tempering process are particularly powerful for build crafting.
So if we don’t get the stat from the manual that we wanted with tempering, the item is potentially a bust. This is especially the case for weapons and other item types with offensive category manuals available on them. They are game changers for items, at least for my build.
So now let me give you a specific example to showcase this process. I am playing a Frozen Orb build with my Sorceress. Let’s say I found gloves that I want to use that have two good stats on them. First, I go to Blacksmith for tempering.
On gloves I can put stats from either utility or offensive category, I found a manual from offensive category called Frost Finesse which has amazing damage boost potential for my build. Especially cold damage and vulnerable damage are very good stats for me. Since Frozen Orb has a 40% chance to make enemies vulnerable and is, of course, cold-based skill.
So if I don’t manage to get either of these stats with tempering. I would not use those glows. Similarly to weapons, I want to get a specific stat in tempering that gives me a chance to cast Frozen Orb twice. So by not enchanting nor swapping Legendary Powers first. I potentially save a lot of gold on an item that I wouldn’t use, anyway. But let’s say, I get the tempering that I wanted.
I start with the enchanting process to try to get the first start on gloves to improve my build. In case I have bad luck and enchanting gets too expensive. I have done three options.
First, I can settle for the sub powerful stat. Next, I can just continue investing gold or I can just stick to gloves that I already have.
And lastly, if I get the stats that I wanted on the item. I swap the legendary power to the one I want. Modifying legendary powers should be done last. As it involves no RNG and it’s quite an expensive process to begin with.
These are my detailed instructions on how to do Tempering, Enchanting and Upgrading Gear in Diablo 4. I hope these are useful to you.

Diablo 4 Seasonal Content C ...
If you are an old player of Diablo series, you may also have this annoyance, that is, frequent season updates are too troublesome. This is not only because the update content of each season is very limited, and players cannot get a deeper game experience, but more importantly, they need to start a new character and build after each season, which greatly disrupts the player’s game plan. Therefore, after 7 seasons of updates, the voices in Diablo 4 community for removing seasonal content are getting louder and louder! They are eager for developers to abolish some repetitive seasonal content and just keep the content updated as in the past. Although the response to Season 7 is still good, and the new Witch Powers are well-liked by players, this cannot cover up the fact that seasonal content is still on the decline. We can even expect that almost after waiting for players to be enthusiastic about this new season mechanism, they will give up continuing this game, and Season of Witchcraft will not be much different from previous seasons. This may be because there are no more new classes in Diablo 4 for players to try, and players don’t want to start a new character again and again, or it may be because many players are really tired of the endgame content that does not challenge anything. Therefore, more and more players have reported that Diablo 4 should have less of these boring and repetitive grinding content, which will only make players more and more disappointed with the game. We are eager for the game to have more improvements in completing tasks, not only in terms of the difficulty of tasks but also in the rewards we can get after completing tasks, including more loot and Diablo 4 Gold drop rate. This will give players more breathing space in the boring grinding life. The Call For Canceling Seasonal Content Is Getting Louder Considering these factors, many Diablo fans have asked developers to cancel seasonal content and move more time to Eternal Realm. What developers need to do is to add more content to Eternal Realm so that players can enjoy the game at any time, rather than moving some of the past seasonal features to Eternal Realm. After all, no one wants to invest a lot of time in a temporary feature that is about to disappear. Many players think that canceling the season update and focusing only on the basic content update and expansion content is a wise choice. Because frequent season updates are completely unfavorable to extending the life of a game. Especially every season update requires players to start from scratch, rebuild a new character build, and restart the campaign, which is really unnecessary. More importantly, it means that all the hard work you put into your character in the previous season will be wasted. Therefore, more players would rather continue to experience new content with existing characters rather than starting from scratch. If someone is really willing to start over, then recreating a small account to experience the game may be a better choice. However, some pessimistic players believe that in order to maximize profits and make money from stores and Battle Pass, the developer will not choose to make changes in order to listen to players’ opinions. But who knows? Also Read: Diablo 4 New Expansion Will Be Delayed Until 2026! Reset Of Seasonal Content Can Still Stimulate Players’ Interest Of course, many players are happy and welcome the reset of the season. They said that it is precisely because of the seasonal content that they have become more interested in the game. Only by setting up new content can players maintain the freshness of the game. However, the balance and improvement of class and build should also be paid attention to, which will make players more willing to spend time to experience the game. A single update cannot improve their sense of participation in the game at all. Therefore, the way to prevent Diablo 4 players from being tired and disgusted with frequent updates and seasonal content is to add Eternal Realm to the original game to add new content, increase the drop rate of Diablo 4 Gold, increase the reward mechanism, and continuously enrich the game to attract more players. Final Opinion In short, although many players resist the frequent updates of Diablo 4, and the voices for the abandonment of seasonal content are also rising, there are also some players who hold the opposite view, believing that seasonal resets are essential, which increases the participation of game players and motivates them to continue to love the game. As for how to coordinate the opinions of various players, I think a better way is probably that the developers of Diablo 4 can add Eternal Realm content, while the seasonal updates remain unchanged, so that the two parts of players with different opinions can return to the game in a unified and reasonable manner. I hope that in the future Season 8, the developers can better balance the two parts of content. Let us look forward to it!Feb-28-2025

Diablo 4 Season 6: How To U ...
Diablo 4 series of games currently offers you 6 classes to experience, among which Druid is one of the classic classes. It is a master of controlling and using earth elements and has unique class skills and characteristics. In addition, after DLC adds more story missions and end-game content, you will find that the entire way Diablo 4 operates has undergone significant changes, which brings you new shocks in Season 6 - including the various class builds you rely on. On this basis, if you choose Druid as your class in Season 6, then we recommend that you give priority to Lightning Storm when choosing a build. Given its full use of the characteristics of Druid class and its adaptability to existing game mechanisms, Lightning Storm Build may even be effective in Season 7. Based on this, we will introduce you to how to use Lightning Storm Build in Season 6. Skills Applicable To Lightning Storm In Diablo 4 Season 6, no matter what class your character plays, the available skills are divided into active and passive types, and most builds are also centered on skills. As for Lightning Storm Build, we recommend you choose the following options and allocate the corresponding skill points for active and passive skills: Active skills: Mau-Enhanced: 1 Lightning Storm-Enhanced, Raging: 5 Earthen Bulwark-Enhanced: 1 Cyclone Armor: 1 Blood Howl-Enhanced, Preserving:1 Cataclysm-Prime, Supreme: 5 Passive skills: Predatory Instinct: 1 Iron Fur: 3 Backlash: 3 Ancestral Fortitude: 1 Vigilance: 3 Nature’s Reach: 3 Feral Aptitude: 3 Electric Shock: 3 Bad Omen: 2 Endless Tempest: 2 Neurotoxin: 1 Envenom: 3 Natural Disaster: 3 Defiance: 3 Circle of Life: 3 If you are a new player, you need to complete various tasks from the beginning in order to reach level 50 as soon as possible and earn enough Diablo 4 Gold and skill points. But if you are a returning player, you can choose to allocate many skill points from your Renown, or immediately upgrade to level 50 from the beginning. Of course, besides the skills we recommend above, you may find that you need to choose other skills in actual combat to help yourself progress in the skill tree, which is completely feasible. In fact, as long as you have the ability, you can reconsider the skills included in Lightning Storm Build. The Most Suitable Skill Casting Order When running Lightning Storm Build, you not only need to choose the right skills, but also make sure to use the skills in the most efficient order. Only in this way can the power of the skills be fully exerted. Here’s the order we’ve provided for you: Cyclone Armor Earthen Bulwark Cataclysm Lightning Storm Maul Blood Howl First, cast Cyclone Armor and Earthen Bulwark before approaching the enemy to make yourself harder to kill. Then use your ultimate skill Cataclysm to blast monsters or elites for tremendous damage, and then jump into the battle and hit them with Lightning Storm. Next, you can alternate between Lightning Storm and Maul, depending on your situation. For example, attack the enemy with Lightning Storm, then switch to Maul when your spirit is exhausted. If the battle becomes tense and the situation is not in your favor, immediately cast Blood Howl to transform into a werewolf and heal yourself while getting a damage boost. Best Spirit Boons In Diablo 4 Season 6, you can unlock 16 different Spirit Boons as a Druid, but you can only choose to equip up to 5 of them. When you use Lightning Storm Build, we recommend that you choose the following Spirit Boons: Deer-Wariness: Reduces damage from elites. Eagle-Avian Wrath: Gain more critical strike damage. Wolf-Calamity: Ultimate skills last 35% longer. Snake-Calm before the Storm: Magic skills cooldown reduced. Eagle-Iron Feather: Increase your maximum life. Paragon Glyphs For Lightning Storm When you reach level 60 in Diablo 4 Season 6, you will have access to Paragon panel to continue upgrading. And every time you unlock a Paragon node, your attributes will be improved, but eventually you will need to choose Glyphs for more substantial upgrades. In fact, as you progress, you will unlock more content. Based on this, we recommend that you choose the following Glyphs to maximize the potential of Lightning Storm Build: Level 15: Spirit Keeper Earth and Sky Fulminate Electrocution Level 46: Spirit Keeper Earth and Sky Fulminate Electrocution Best Mercenaries If you have experienced Vessel of Hatred expansion, you will find that the mercenary mechanism introduced since then has gradually become an important help for you to maximize the potential of the build. There are currently 4 mercenaries to choose from in Diablo 4. If you use Lightning Storm Build, you’d better prioritize hiring Varyana as the first mercenary and set her skill to Bloodthirst, which gives you a 25% attack speed increase. Then recruit Rahier and use his skill Bastion to keep yourself out of danger. How To Use This Build In PVP? In fact, PVP version of Lightning Storm Build is the same as PVE version, so you can use this build in PVP mode according to the above content and tips. However, if you want to make the operation easier, you can also make some adjustments as needed. I hope that through the introduction of the above content, you can use Lightning Storm Build more easily in Diablo 4 Season 6. Diablo 4 Season 7: How To W ...
On November 12, the developers of Diablo 4 series held a campfire chat, mainly communicating with players and announcing the content of the mid-term patch of Season 6. Although some information about Season 7 was revealed during the period, it was still very limited. In the following week, Diablo 4 was in the middle of Season 6, and with the release of patch 2.0.5 and the holding of some festive in-game activities, including red-cloaked horror and welcome back gifts for Eternal players, this week was very lively. However, since Season 7 is not far away, and in order to satisfy your curiosity, on November 21, the developers held another campfire chat, mainly announcing the main updates of Season 7 and patch 2.1 PTR. Based on this, we will introduce you to the two main updates on patch 2.1 PTR. 1. Powers Of Witchcraft Season 6 of Hatred Rising is still in progress and is expected to end in January and enter Season 7. But in order to present a better Season 7, the game developer will release patch 2.1 PTR on December 3 and last until December 10. In this PTR, you can not only test the new patch but also get to know the new Season 7 content for the first time. Among all the new content, the introduction of powers of Witchcraft is the first. If you have experienced Diablo 4 Season 2, you will know that you can use Vampiric powers and the addition of powers of Witchcraft in Season 7 will make it a new “seasonal power” and a new helper for you to get a lot of Diablo 4 Gold. How To Get Witchcraft? To get Witchcraft first in Season 7, you first need to collect a new currency, Restless Rot, by defeating Headrotten. Then head to the altar and trade Restless Rot for Witchcraft. As for how to equip Witchcraft, it’s actually similar to Sanguine Circle in Season 2. If you haven’t experienced Sanguine Circle, it doesn’t matter. You can just find an extra tab on the character menu to do it. Build A Witchcraft Season Reputation Board Once you have Witchcraft, you can continue to build a reputation board specifically for Witchcraft season, and Coven’s Favor will drop from Whispers. On top of that, you will earn Resplendent Sparks again by completing Witchcraft season reputation board, helping you craft Mythic Uniques. In addition, Whispers will also become more intense as the tree hunts for Headrotten. Headhunts will spawn in a similar area takeover style to Helltides, and feature all new Whispers activities, as well as some other activities you are familiar with. Completing these Whispers activities will give you a chance to encounter a Headrotten boss. Sending the heads of the boss to Tree of Whispers will also earn your Occult gems. What Are Occult Gems? As an item in Season 7, Occult gems will have a unique effect on the game and can be used to embed in item slots, thus providing you with some combat benefits. It is also worth noting that exploring Forgotten Altars in various dungeons in Sanctuary can unlock new powers. In fact, more than 20 new powers will be added in Season 7. 2. Quality Of Life Updates Before Diablo 4 2.1 version PTR, the game developer revealed not only Armory mechanism that makes it easier to save and exchange equipment, as well as a series of other changes in the campfire chat on November 21, but also many quality of life changes. The most important of these is the change of Paragon Board. Paragon Board Season 7 Update According to the latest news, Paragon Board in Season 7 will allow you to customize the build you need to use after reaching the game level cap. And starting from the next season, all Paragon experience you earn throughout the season will be added to your Eternal Realm progress. According to the development team, this Paragon experience migration mechanism will give you the opportunity to obtain rewards in Eternal Realm without having to worry about seasonal grinding. Changes To Ancestral Legendary Items In the future, the drop rate of Ancestral Legendary items will also be greatly increased in all levels of Diablo 4’s new Torment difficulty system. Higher drop rates can not only improve the level of game activities but also will not affect the important position of Ancestral Legendary items in the game. In addition, starting from Season 7, Ancestral Legendary items will definitely appear at the highest end of their Legendary Aspect level. Other Changes And Updates Other quality of life changes mainly include a redesigned system for unique power rolls, a gem fragment converter that can create Legendary items, and updates to class tasks. Of course, the above content is only part of the content of Season 7 and the 2.1 version PTR update. I believe that with the launch of both in the future, you will experience a more exciting Season 7. Related: Diablo 4 Promotions & Giveaways In addition, enter iGMeet Discord now, you cannot communicate with other Diablo 4 players, but also participate in the eighth giveaway event for Diablo 4 Season 6. Enkindled Judicator Enkindled Judicator serves as the first boss appearing in “Pursuit of Justice” main mission. It shows up in the burning ruins of Windswept Cabinas as bulking soldier. The primary weapon of this rookie boss is a big hammer. It’s slow to swing, but it hits hard. Also, watch out for its fire attack. Overall, it’s pretty easy to deal with. Abhorrent Manifestation Just like what its name has disclosed, this boss is designed as a terrifying horror. You will encounter it during “Enmity Rising” mission as you trespass Hollows part. Abhorrent Manifestation is primarily good at melee attacks. While it does less damage overall, it is noticeable that it is available to summon Minion Hollows for help. Nangari Deathworker You are gonna to meet Nangari Deathworker as you progress the quest of “Thrust into the Dark”. It features a giant Nangari, so it undoubtably excels in melee and AOE poison damage. If you want to win this fight easily, it is recommended to equip some necessary items that can offset this damage by spending some Diablo 4 Gold. Vesicator After slaying the first wave of Frothers, Vesicator will make an appearance in the form of a giant, hulking monstrosity of muscle and tentacles. You may encounter it on the radar of “The Heart of All Rot” quest. This monster is particularly excellent at attacking with its tentacled arms, which causes poison damage. In addition, it can also summon annoying Regurgitator minions to help him deal with some troubles. Awoken Dead On the way to complete “Fundament of Faith” mission, you can find this short and fat horror in Forgotten Chamber. In addition to some basic attack damage, Awoken Dead is also equipped with overwhelming lighting attacks to cast fatal damage. And Shambling Corpses will occasionally appear to help this boss. Ah Bulan, Mender Of Veils You may be surprised and astonished as you see this boss. Ah Bulan, Mender of Veils, is one of the most memorable bosses in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred DLC. You will meet this four-legged beast in Spirit Realm in the period of accomplishing “Across the Threshold” mission. Armed with a spear and shield, Ah Bulan is good at both offense and defense. He is available to cast stomping attacks and has two powerful clones accompanying him to provide assistance at any time. Eidolon Of Julian Eidolon of Julian is encountered in the quest of “Living Memory”. After searching Buried Chamber, you are required to fight with this towering red spirit. Eidolon of Julian can summon mini-tornadoes that are designed to significantly hinder player eyesight while caught inside. Urivar In the questline of “Burning Crusade”, players are going to descend into Knight’s Encampment dungeon where nestles Urivar. Urivar is an armor-clad boss who excels in melee attacks. He also has his army of knights to summon. Priestess Of Hatred Priestess of Hatred nestles in a befouled Clearing in Hierophant Pyre. You are needed to defeat her in “The Way Out Is Through” mission. She features A vicious, grotesque monster. Despite its size, it moves and attacks pretty quickly. Of particular note is blood magic, which features a powerful beam that shining the battlefield. Dread Captain Players will come to Seta O-Akha in the period of completing “In His Footsteps” mission. You will then engage in a fight with Dread Captain. With a massive pillar holding in his hand, Dread Captain primarily attacks with ice damage. In addition, there will be a Water Watcher that casts poison attacks from distance to support Dread Captain. Harbinger Of Hatred In the end, here comes the last boss in Vessel of Hatred DLC - Harbinger of Hatred. And you witness the strength of it during finishing “All Good Things” mission in Domain of Mephisto. Harbinger of Hatred features A malevolent dragon-like entity. During the fight, waves of enemies will appear in a small arena. This demon has 2 stages. It is recommended to use Akarat’s buffs to effectively resist. Harbinger of Hatred, as the ultimate boss, is inherently challenging. If you are absent of defensive skills or builds that can keep you alive or heal, then it is recommended to lower the difficulty to World Tier 1.
