Elder Scrolls Online Expansion Tier: There Are Some Of The Best You Can Try While Waiting For The Latest!
Since its launch in 2014, Elder Scrolls Online has released a number of large expansion (often referred to as Chapters) and smaller DLC add-ons that complement the story and gameplay of the entire base game.
Some time ago, the developer publicly announced that the next DLC for ESO is expected to be officially released on March 10, which may bring players more interesting game features, or some new expansion areas and storylines. However, during this relatively long wait, you can try some of the high-quality expansions in this series of games.
Given that the quality of previously released expansion in terms of gameplay additions and overall storylines is uneven, this guide will introduce you to some expansions worth trying in the order of SAB Tiers, which may make your wait for new content more fulfilling.
S Tier
First, let’s take a look at some expansions that can be rated S Tier. They can perfectly combine storyline and gameplay, and have won unanimous praise from many players. The most worthwhile one is Morrowind, which brings the island of Vvardenfell in Morrowind province back to the game, and adds gorgeous new music that reimagines Nerevar Rising, which reminds players of many scenes in Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, with a retro atmosphere.
Not only that, the dramatic scenes of Vvardenfell, the opportunity to meet Lord Vivec, and the fascinating storyline included in Morrowind are the main reasons why players voted it as one of the best expansions. Most importantly, this chapter is still free, so you may have no reason not to try it.
Besides Morrowind, Thieves Guild is also very good. It can cleverly combine a great storyline with a series of potentially challenging heists, completely subverting the unconscious and repetitive task rules that often occur in MMOs, so that players can always feel a very fresh gaming experience in it.
Thieves Guild is centered in Hammerfell in Abah’s Landing, which offers a lot of ESO Gold to power up your character, and is full of life, with players happy to interact with each other on small quests or trade cosmetics.
If you want to choose one of the most beautiful ESO locations, it must be the island of the same name in Summerset expansion, which is the capital of Aldmeri Dominion. This add-on not only adds a lot of crafting materials and group challenges for players, but also provides a lot of new land to explore and places to discover, which will keep players exploring fresh.
A Tier
Compared to the expansions in S Tier, the expansions in A Tier are slightly inferior, but they are still relatively good in terms of overall lore, and all have some retro colors similar to the previous series of games.
Dark Brotherhood has become the most impressive expansion in Elder Scrolls series of games because of its interesting storyline, because the main story is centered around this very popular faction. Its storyline mainly takes place in Gold Coast region of Cyrodiil and the iconic city of Kvatch, which are very important in Oblivion expansion.
In fact, many players do not think that Necrom is a very good expansion because it has a very long and complicated storyline, but those who are keen on reasoning and exploration think that this is a very interesting expansion. This additional content introduces one of the most popular families among the five major families of Morrowind, Telvanni, in depth, and sets the entire story in Telvanni Peninsula of Morrowind.
In addition to the overall storyline, Telvanni Peninsula in Necrom is also very legendary, and its connection to Hermaeus Mora’s plane of Oblivion, Apocrypha, makes it a very mysterious location, and continues the storyline of Shadows Over Morrowind and Secrets of Apocrypha.
Orsinium expansion provides much-needed depth and insight into the location of Orsimer, even if it has very fascinating lore and culture in its own right. So with a well-written storyline, interesting side characters, and fascinating settings, Orsinium has become the most eye-catching existence in ESO’s small DLC.
B Tier
For the expansions and add-ons in B Tier, there may not be any specific issues with the locations and exploration areas provided, but the overall plot does not live up to the developers’ promise. For example, Elsweyr, where the exploration area is home to Khajiit, the cat-people of Tamriel, is full of diversity.
Here, with multiple landscapes such as jungles, savannahs and deserts, players can experience a new exploration experience, and the overall plot also involves invading dragons and the addition of Necromancer class, but the execution of the plot is not ideal in the actual play of players, making players very disappointed.
There is also High Isle, which also introduces a new area to Tamriel with unique landscapes that have never appeared in ESO lore. The visuals here are completely comparable to Summerset in S Tier. But unfortunately, its storyline development does not fully realize the promise of its background, and falls into an unpredictable trap.
If you’ve tried Oblivion expansion before, Blackwood will be well worth your time, as it pays homage to that already very successful expansion in many ways, such as a very fun boss encounter that leads directly to Oblivion location after you complete it. The story takes place entirely in the area around Leyawiin in southern Cyrodiil, and the visuals here are some of the best in the entire series.
What’s more, a companion system is also added in this add-on, which means you can summon two companions to help you explore. This sounds interesting, right? But in fact, the exploration difficulty in this expansion is too difficult, and not many players are willing to try the challenge, making this feature basically useless.
These are some of the better expansions or small add-ons released by Elder Scrolls Online so far. You can explore them while waiting for the new DLC to come out, which may make your wait time fly quickly, and you can learn more about the legends of the continent of Tamriel from them. I wish you a happy game!

Elder Scrolls Online Cross- ...
With the prosperity of the gaming industry, I believe you have higher and higher requirements for gaming devices, so now there are more devices available on the market, such as PC, mobile phones, Switch and Xbox series game consoles. Although this greatly meets your device needs, it also brings another problem: what should you do when you want to play cross-platform games? In order to attract more players, many large games have been working hard to develop cross-platform play in recent years to give themselves more advantages, especially those MMORPGs. But to your surprise, as a MMORPG that has been running for more than ten years, Elder Scrolls Online has not launched cross-platform play as of 2024, but it is expected that this situation may change in 2025. ESO Officially Landed On Xbox Game Pass Xbox Game Pass is actually a subscription service that was launched on June 1, 2017. It includes a rotating library of games, and as long as you have an active subscription, you can always access your existing games through video game consoles, Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, etc., and even provide discounts on DLC for some games. After Elder Scrolls Online landed on Xbox Game Pass, you might think that you will be able to share ESO Gold held by the same game account on most of your devices, but the fact is that this is limited to Xbox consoles. Although PC players can currently play ESO through Xbox Cloud Gaming of Game Pass, it is also limited to PC and cannot be shared across platforms. Elder Scrolls Online Gameplay Although cross-platform play has many benefits, it is may not suitable for all gameplay, so we will analyze it for you based on this. First of all, ESO was released in 2014 and has received unanimous praise from many game critics and players since its release, and even won British Academy Games Award and many award nominations in this decade. The game is set on the continent of Tamriel. The gameplay is mostly non-linear, with a mixture of quests, random events and free exploration, which can provide enough playable content for players of different skill levels, such as: Character creation: You can start creating your first character at the beginning of the game, and then you can choose a race for the character, and the choice of race will also determine the character’s alliance, class, gender, appearance, voice and name. High degree of freedom of exploration: The continent of Tamriel provides you with multiple quests and free battles to ensure your freedom of exploration. Combat system: ESO’s combat system brings you a richer combat experience by effectively combining strikes, spells and abilities. Team content: You can get more ESO Gold by teaming up with other players to complete more challenging tasks and defeat more powerful enemies. Grand open world: As the main world of the game, Tamriel has many locations, ranging from tropical islands to snow-capped mountains, and the scenery is also very good. Diverse content: No matter what your skill level is, whether you like to play PVE or PVP mode, ESO can satisfy you. Elder Scrolls Online Cross-Platform Rules The game still does not bring official cross-platform play to this day. Although it is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and there are some exceptions such as Xbox consoles only, players from different platforms cannot interact with each other whether exploring Tamriel, fighting powerful creatures or completing quests. However, it is worth noting that Elder Scrolls Online supports cross-generation games, which means that you can play ESO both on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and the same is true for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Will ESO Usher In Cross-Platform Play In 2025? 2024 is the tenth anniversary of Elder Scrolls Online. The game held a related celebration event, and the development team announced in the second half of 2024 that it will make several major changes to the game starting in 2025, such as a new season system and new DLC. So you are likely to hope to hear ESO cross-platform news in the second half of this year. But given the size of the game world and the sheer number of players, it might be too much of a stretch to bring more extensive cross-platform play to ESO than it already has, and even trickier is the political stance of the major platform owners in the market. Fortunately, while your hopes for cross-platform play in Elder Scrolls Online will be dashed for a long time, the game is gradually adding more content to play. For example, Update 45, and the new DLC Fallen Banners, which was launched not long ago on March 10, will also allow you to explore two new dungeons called Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt. Or if you’re an old ESO player, you should know that Cyrodiil, the main battlefield of PVP mode, has been experiencing server overload issues, and it is expected that the relevant bugs will also be resolved through Cyrodiil Champions test, which will end on March 31. In short, although ESO currently does not offer cross-platform play, its future performance should be more than enough to make up for this, so if you want to experience the game for a long time, you might as well use your favorite device with peace of mind!Mar-28-2025

Elder Scrolls Online: What ...
September seems to be an eventful month for Elder Scrolls Online, not only because console players can finally enjoy the latest feature of Update 43, Home Tours, but more importantly, there are several exciting contents to be introduced during September. From free DLC, Arms Pack, several new activities, to the return of Undaunted and noteworthy 4-Group Dungeons, here we will detail everything you will be interested in this month! Without further ado, let’s get straight to it! Home Tours Contest To celebrate Home Tours feature added in Update 43, all players will be able to submit your house to Home Tours Contest from September 4th to win prizes. For all the decorators who enjoy decorating their own houses, this is definitely an excellent opportunity for you to get ESO Gold and rare decorations! Is Seabloom Villa Worth Trying? In order to get to the top of the competition, many players want to try to get a new house, and Seabloom Villa is one of their wish lists. But don’t worry, let’s talk about all the pros, cons, cool features, size, furniture, and build a space of this house to help you decide if this house is worth your investment. Seabloom Villa is a medium-sized house that can hold 200 or 400 pieces of furniture (depending on whether you have ESO Plus) and is located atop a seaside cliff on the coast of Auridon. However, the surrounding neighbors are not very good, not only because there is a World Boss outside, but more importantly there are no Wayshrines nearby, but it does have some very beautiful views, and a hidden secret! This house and the furniture inside are all Alinor style, but the interior of the house itself is quite dark, with only a few low-light windows and a few lights. The yard around the house has 50 different plants and rocks, which you can choose to remove. The building perimeter is far from the cliff, so there is room for you to build outside the island as well. The coolest part of this house, though, is the little Soul Gem Stand that you can’t move, but it is interactive! As you use it, flowers and vines will grow or disappear from the front wall of the house, giving it a very magical feel, which is another factor to consider when decorating. So, is this home worth your investment? To be honest, the house is actually very small, there is nothing special inside, and it is a bit dark considering the bright and colorful surroundings outside. However, if you like decorating yards, then it is simply a wise move. And first-time decorators will find it less daunting because of its size, and the ratio between empty space and furniture capacity is perfect! Update 44 Live Preview With the release of Update 43, we can also expect a preview of Update 44 and the upcoming PvP changes, all of which you can find out during Bethesda live broadcast on September 10! Undaunted Celebration Event This month also ushered in Undaunted Celebration, a fun event centered on 4-man dungeons that can drop wonderful cosmetic items. Aside from all the shiny styles you can get, the biggest bonus of this event is that after defeating the last boss, you’ll get an event coffer, which grants you a second curated set piece for each dungeon you complete. So get ready to complete some dungeon set collections! Curated Shoulder Update 43 also brings Curated Shoulder Set Pieces, but having enough Undaunted Keys is essential if you want to unlock it. And in September, you’ll have even more ways to get Undaunted Keys. During this month, you’ll receive Daily Seals besides Keys for completing tasks! Thurvokun Arms Pack To further incentivize dungeon crawling, ESO is also offering players Thurvokun Arms Pack as a reward. If you unlock the achievement “Returned Undaunted” by completing 10 Undaunted Pledges from Undaunted NPC here, you can claim this nifty Weapon Style Set for free from Crown Store! Daily Rewards The daily rewards this month are pretty good too! Furniture & Festive Headdresses Players will be able to get a ton of different furniture, including a flock of Animated Blue Butterfly Flocks and a bunch of Alinor Pieces, some Luminous Ink, and some Seals of Endeavor. There should also be a festive headdress to get you into West Weald spirit in mid-September, giving you more opportunities to dress up your character. Dragon Bones DLC Dragon Bones DLC will also be given away for free in the daily rewards, giving you a couple of more difficult dungeons to enjoy during Undaunted event. This is great news for those who don’t have ESO Plus, because on the 3rd day of logging in this month you can get Fang Lair Dungeon, and on the 4th day you can fight for Scalecaller Peak Dungeon. Dungeon Explorer Costume You can also get the 2 Vanquisher achievements associated with both Dungeons by completing them, and unlock Dungeon Explorer Costume for free! These achievements can be unlocked in Normal mode, but if you do complete the dungeon in Veteran mode, they will still unlock! Gold Road Celebration While there is no confirmed date yet, sometime towards the end of this month, a celebration centered on the latest expansion, Gold Road, will begin, giving players the chance to head to West Weald to enjoy beautiful fall foliage, double drops, and rewards. Note, however, that you’ll need to own Gold Road Chapter to participate, but historically, expansions have been discounted during the celebration! So don’t miss out! Final Thoughts Anyway, let’s have some fun with dungeons this month! The two free DLC dungeons that come with Undaunted Celebration not only offer a higher challenge but also increase the chances of earning extra rewards. So if you haven’t tried them yet, you’ll want to try them this time. In addition, the extra rewards in this month’s Arms Pack are also very popular, so be sure to unlock and claim all the free cosmetics and dungeon rewards before they’re gone! I wish you an exciting adventure in September exploring the dungeons of Tamriel!Sep-09-2024

Elder Scrolls Online: Previ ...
Elder Scrolls Online Update 43 base game patch will be released on August 19th for PC/Mac and September 4th for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Before we start playing, let’s take a look at some of the highlights of this update! In Update 43, we have the opportunity to see the new Home Tours system in action, new content in the endless PVE Arena: Infinite Archive, including some other additional updates. In this guide, let’s talk about what these improvements and updates will bring to us. Home Tours The developers said that they have been deeply involved in the new Housing Feature that has been teased for a long time, which is Home Tours. They admitted that Housing Community is one of their biggest concerns. The developers hope to create something new to help players continue to grow and share their creative homes with others. This is also where Home Tours comes into play. Home Tours will be available in Activity Finder System, allowing players to easily visit other people’s homes. Players will be able to create listings for their homes and likewise visit other homes listed in Finder System. You can even assign up to three tags to your home to describe the vibe of the place. For example, when you create a listing, you could assign Sinister tag to a creepy horror house, or Cozy tag to a cozier, more relaxing house you put together. You can even assign Playful and Games tags to a home that has a fun maze or jumping puzzle. Homes listed by your friends and guild-mates through Home Tours Finder will also have recognizable symbols next to their listings. You can freely choose the house you want to visit based on these tags. Ultimately, the new Home Tours System will give everyone a platform to show the greater ESO community that they put a lot of effort into all of their homes, not just their primary home. Infinite Archive Updates Next, let’s talk about what’s new in Infinite Archive. Infinite Archive (IA for short) is an endless PVE Arena with Apocryphal theme that comes with the base game. The faster you advance in Infinite Archive, the more challenging it becomes. But you can also earn several temporary and permanent buffs, called Verses and Visions, which can help you gradually strengthen your character build. In this PVE Arena, you have the opportunity to fight various monsters from all over Tamriel, including some familiar bosses, but with new mechanics. As you take down monsters in Infinite Archive, you will also collect Archival Fortunes, an IA-specific currency that you can cash in for exquisite rewards. ESO developers have always mentioned that Infinite Archive is a mechanic that can be expanded to create new experiences, and this IA update is exactly what it needs. In Update 43, they added two new Arena types to Infinite Archive, which are based on Fire and Ice. This means that Fire Arena has fire pits that will spray lava at the player, and Ice Arena has frozen water that will freeze the player to death if they stay in it for too long. These environmental hazards will definitely challenge players. Additionally, a new Daily Quest giver will be added, and she will require you to kill Marauders or different Fabled Monsters in order to get the corresponding rewards, including the most basic ESO Gold and some rare equipment. They also added 10 new bosses from all over Tamriel as well as 8 new Verses, 10 new Visions, new Fabled Monsters, and 2 new Marauders. One of Marauders is similar to Werewolf Behemoth in March of Sacrifices Dungeon, as it has a mechanic that limits your vision by summoning fog. The other Marauder is Charging Minotaur. You can also pick up a new consumable that allows you to transform into a random avatar, such as Werewolf Behemoth, once per turn, as well as some new class sets. We won’t have to wait long to try all this new content! Other Improvements Beyond this, we also got some information about the additional improvements that will be experienced in the next patch. Mount Preview The developers have added mount preview improvements that allow you to preview all the animations of the mount, such as crouching, walking, running, and more. Luminous Ink Enhancements Luminous Ink will also be enhanced in Collections and Crown Store menus. Because in Update 43, this elusive and important Scribing material will have a new source, and we will have the opportunity to obtain Luminous Ink from Chests and Heavy Sacks. New Styles In the next patch, the developers will also add 6 new Styles, which players can obtain by spending Archival Fortunes. As we all know, Skill Styling System debuted in Gold Road Chapter, which allows players to change the appearance of skills after obtaining certain Achievements. The developers announced a preview of one of the new Skill Styles in the latest live broadcast, which changes the color of Eye Of The Storm Destruction Staff from fiery red to glowing purple. This does not change the actual effect of the skill, but it will definitely make your character cool! Guild Stores Another new feature is about Guild Stores. The arrival of this feature saves you from having to re-sort your guilds every time you enter Guild Bank menu to enter the only Guild Bank you really use. When you open this menu, you’ll see the last Guild Store you used, as this will be remembered for a few seconds after you click on this point. Curated Item Set Drops The last update is that there will be more Curated Item Set drops in the game. Curated in this context is a term used to describe the fact that gear that you haven’t collected yet is more likely to drop for you. It’s an oversimplification, but it’s basically what it is, and it applies to most item sources. It will now apply to PvP Bags, Trial Reward Coffers, and Monster Shoulder Coffers. This is big news! I’m really glad they finally went ahead and implemented this so that we don’t have to waste our Undaunted Keys just to get a Monster Set Shoulder with the correct weight we need. Final Thoughts That’s it for the major additions in ESO Update 43. What are your initial thoughts given everything you’ve seen? Probably for a lot of players who play Housing on PC, the new Housing feature is a bit disappointing. Because there is already a very popular add-on that does essentially the same thing, this add-on is called EHT or Essential Housing Tools. One of its many features is that it allows you to view other players’ homes. However, the introduction of the new Home Tours System means that you can expect some new gameplay with it at its core. Unfortunately, some people have expressed concerns about this new Housing feature. They worry that other players will be able to copy their housing creations more easily, and things like this are a pretty pressing issue in the veteran Housing Community. Regardless, you can’t deny the fact that this will make it easier for you to share your housing creations with others. Not only will this inspire other players, but it will also promote fun gameplay as players can explore a variety of creative homes. What do you think of this update? See you next time!Aug-16-2024

Elder Scrolls Online: How D ...
As we all know, the launch of each new chapter of Elder Scrolls Online will bring a series of new exploration areas and tasks, or introduce some new mechanisms or systems to bring players a different gaming experience. For example, in High Isle, the developers introduced Tales of Tribute card game, Blackwood chapter brought Companions System, and Summerset provided players with Jewelcrafting system. The most important update in the upcoming Gold Road chapter is Scribing System, which changes the game to a great extent by giving more variety to the crafting of builds and bringing a series of complex quest lines. In this guide, we will introduce the operating mechanism of Scribing System and its related quest line, and talk about our views on this system. Scribing System Explained As a typical RPG in ESO, game balance is extremely difficult, and the skill customization system in the game is not as free as Spellcrafting system in Gates of Oblivion, but this does not mean that it lacks depth. Players have access to over 4,000 combinations of scripts and grimoires in the game, and the system automatically filters out combinations that are overly powerful or useless. This means that as long as you have enough ESO Gold, you can complete the most powerful build based on your play style. The 11 new skills are introduced into the game as grimoires, with one for each weapon, world and guild skill line. These grimoires are the basis of Scribing Skills, and the same grimoire can lead to some completely different results by combining three scripts. What Do The Different Types Of Scripts Do? These scripts are divided into three levels: Focus Scripts, Signature Scripts, and Affix Scripts. Focus Scripts largely define where the ability fits in the build, determining its damage type and resources used, and some abilities can even be transformed into taunts or crowd control abilities. Signature Scripts provide synergies such as damage and healing over time or increased movement speed. Affix Scripts typically add buffs or debuffs, such as Prophecy, Savagery, or Lifesteal. While it’s unlikely that a player’s build will revolve entirely around scribed grimoire abilities, the system is a great way to shore up weaknesses in your build or gain new abilities. Often, players struggling with survivability might choose to add something with Lifesteal functionality to their repertoire, or an attention-seeking tank might want to put together an extra taunt that doubles as a defensive buff. Signature Scripts can even completely change the appearance of the ability. We tried various elements of Elemental Explosion and then changed it to a red explosion when we modified it with the physical damage script. Luminaries Questline The quest line that comes with Scribing System is one of the most memorable quests we’ve done in Elder Scrolls Online in years, especially because it introduces new lore about the mysterious and sacred Luminaries. Luminaries are important to the overall game loop. There are four Luminaries here, giving players a reason to jump through hoops in any order they choose to follow this storyline. Just finding each Luminaries was quite a journey, as we had to determine the location of the key fragments by deciphering clues in the book, leading to a brief search for hidden objects mini-game at the destination. Once we finally found a Luminary, they asked players to complete some in-game challenges. These might involve clearing a specific area of Delves or Dark Anchors, killing enough of a specific species, or even participating in a PVP battleground. While it offloads some of the mission work onto existing game content, we actually appreciate the way it allows us to explore overlooked areas and create motivation to participate in other content. We expect the entire questline to take players about six hours in total, although getting to know Scribing System can take up a lot of time. From what we’ve seen, this massive new system and its engaging questline are the highlights of an already strong chapter. That’s everything we know so far about Scribing System in the upcoming Gold Road chapter. Mastering them ahead of time will give you a head start when it comes to new expansions!Apr-12-2024
