Elder Scrolls Online Cross-Platform Play: How Is It Going After Entering 2025?
With the prosperity of the gaming industry, I believe you have higher and higher requirements for gaming devices, so now there are more devices available on the market, such as PC, mobile phones, Switch and Xbox series game consoles. Although this greatly meets your device needs, it also brings another problem: what should you do when you want to play cross-platform games?
In order to attract more players, many large games have been working hard to develop cross-platform play in recent years to give themselves more advantages, especially those MMORPGs. But to your surprise, as a MMORPG that has been running for more than ten years, Elder Scrolls Online has not launched cross-platform play as of 2024, but it is expected that this situation may change in 2025.
ESO Officially Landed On Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass is actually a subscription service that was launched on June 1, 2017. It includes a rotating library of games, and as long as you have an active subscription, you can always access your existing games through video game consoles, Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, etc., and even provide discounts on DLC for some games.
After Elder Scrolls Online landed on Xbox Game Pass, you might think that you will be able to share ESO Gold held by the same game account on most of your devices, but the fact is that this is limited to Xbox consoles. Although PC players can currently play ESO through Xbox Cloud Gaming of Game Pass, it is also limited to PC and cannot be shared across platforms.
Elder Scrolls Online Gameplay
Although cross-platform play has many benefits, it is may not suitable for all gameplay, so we will analyze it for you based on this. First of all, ESO was released in 2014 and has received unanimous praise from many game critics and players since its release, and even won British Academy Games Award and many award nominations in this decade.
The game is set on the continent of Tamriel. The gameplay is mostly non-linear, with a mixture of quests, random events and free exploration, which can provide enough playable content for players of different skill levels, such as:
- Character creation: You can start creating your first character at the beginning of the game, and then you can choose a race for the character, and the choice of race will also determine the character’s alliance, class, gender, appearance, voice and name.
- High degree of freedom of exploration: The continent of Tamriel provides you with multiple quests and free battles to ensure your freedom of exploration.
- Combat system: ESO’s combat system brings you a richer combat experience by effectively combining strikes, spells and abilities.
- Team content: You can get more ESO Gold by teaming up with other players to complete more challenging tasks and defeat more powerful enemies.
- Grand open world: As the main world of the game, Tamriel has many locations, ranging from tropical islands to snow-capped mountains, and the scenery is also very good.
- Diverse content: No matter what your skill level is, whether you like to play PVE or PVP mode, ESO can satisfy you.
Elder Scrolls Online Cross-Platform Rules
The game still does not bring official cross-platform play to this day. Although it is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and there are some exceptions such as Xbox consoles only, players from different platforms cannot interact with each other whether exploring Tamriel, fighting powerful creatures or completing quests.
However, it is worth noting that Elder Scrolls Online supports cross-generation games, which means that you can play ESO both on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and the same is true for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Will ESO Usher In Cross-Platform Play In 2025?
2024 is the tenth anniversary of Elder Scrolls Online. The game held a related celebration event, and the development team announced in the second half of 2024 that it will make several major changes to the game starting in 2025, such as a new season system and new DLC. So you are likely to hope to hear ESO cross-platform news in the second half of this year.
But given the size of the game world and the sheer number of players, it might be too much of a stretch to bring more extensive cross-platform play to ESO than it already has, and even trickier is the political stance of the major platform owners in the market.
Fortunately, while your hopes for cross-platform play in Elder Scrolls Online will be dashed for a long time, the game is gradually adding more content to play. For example, Update 45, and the new DLC Fallen Banners, which was launched not long ago on March 10, will also allow you to explore two new dungeons called Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt.
Or if you’re an old ESO player, you should know that Cyrodiil, the main battlefield of PVP mode, has been experiencing server overload issues, and it is expected that the relevant bugs will also be resolved through Cyrodiil Champions test, which will end on March 31.
In short, although ESO currently does not offer cross-platform play, its future performance should be more than enough to make up for this, so if you want to experience the game for a long time, you might as well use your favorite device with peace of mind!

Elder Scrolls Online Cyrodi ...
Almost all MMORPGs have an open continent as a carrier for the entire game story. For Elder Scrolls Online, this continent is the vast Tamriel. Tamriel consists of 9 provinces, which were ruled by the empire in the past, but this unified situation gradually disintegrated in the second century of the fourth era. Now the 9 provinces belong to different races and forces in Tamriel. Among them, Cyrodiil, because it is located at the core of the entire continent, used to be the capital of the empire, and it is still the main habitat of humans now-all this is for the game story level. In fact, different provinces also play different roles in ESO’s gameplay. For example, Cyrodiil is a zone that allows players to engage in large-scale PVP battles outside of regular content. However, it is precisely because of this function that Cyrodiil has to carry many players to enter, so that the zone has long had serious server performance issues. However, after entering 2025, this situation is expected to change through a new test, that is, Cyrodiil Champions. Introduction To Cyrodiil As one of the main provinces of ESO, Cyrodiil is not only the capital of Tamriel but also the central battlefield of Three Banners War. In the past, Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact fought for control of Imperial City, the Ruby Throne, and Cyrodiil. On the other hand, when the game was just launched in 2014, Cyrodiil was well received by players and industry insiders as a large-scale open world PVP area. Here you can be a member in one of the three factions in the game, and besiege each other’s territory with hundreds of players from other factions, and earn ESO Gold and even other more precious resources through endless and free battles. How To Fight In This Zone? Generally speaking, as long as you reach level 10 in the game, you can enter Cyrodiil and join one of the multiple campaigns. Then in the campaign, if your character is below level 50, the campaign will raise your character’s attributes to the same level as level 50 to eliminate the level difference between players, but it is still recommended to start Cyrodiil campaign after reaching level 50, because your gear and skill level will be better at this time. During the campaign, you need to fight with players of the same faction and real players of the enemy faction for control of Cyrodiil. There are multiple campaigns in Cyrodiil, but your character can only be assigned to one main campaign and one guest campaign (with different amounts of rewards available). If you want to access other campaigns, this requires 15,000 ESO Gold. Cyrodiil’s Flaws Although the campaign gameplay in Cyrodiil and the huge PVP scale it brought made Elder Scrolls Online unparalleled for a while shortly after its launch, the zone soon had many bugs due to the large number of players it had to bear at the same time and the complexity of the entire underlying game, such as poor frame rate and extremely delayed combat, which caused the core highlight PVP siege gameplay to always fail to work properly. The most direct way to solve these flaws may be to reduce the scale of PVP combat, but then Cyrodiil will undoubtedly lose its greatest value. The only way is to upgrade technology continuously to solve Cyrodiil’s server overload problem. Over the past decade, ESO developers have been working hard on this, and with the arrival of the eleventh year, this embarrassing situation may be expected to change. What Is Cyrodiil Champions? Cyrodiil Champions is actually a public test for Cyrodiil bugs that will start running on ESO’s live PC servers on March 24, 2025, and is expected to last for a week to the 31st. This test event will simplify your character’s class skills while retaining all large-scale sieges in Cyrodiil and disable more advanced combat benefits, including passive abilities and armor types. This simplification will undoubtedly greatly change the class capabilities in Cyrodiil. For example, your character will not be able to cause damage and heal at the same time, which was possible before. In addition, some unnecessary modeling in the battle scenes is expected to be simplified or directly cancelled. You May Like: What Big Changes Will You See In Elder Scrolls Online In 2025? Although you may doubt whether this approach is only a temporary solution, the development team said that on the one hand, PVE and PVP modes should be strictly distinguished because they provide different experiences, so on this basis, making PVP more distinctive through simplification is a necessary and bold attempt. On the other hand, simplification will actually be more friendly to players, especially if you are a novice who is afraid of fighting against real people. Simplifying the skill operation in the PVP mode may make you more willing to enter Cyrodiil to experience related campaigns. The Significance Of Cyrodiil Champions Since the end of 2024, Elder Scrolls Online has announced and started to implement a number of new initiatives in the hope that you will see a completely different ESO, and the emergence of Cyrodiil Champions is undoubtedly one of the changes. If the feedback from this test is good enough in the end, it will not only mean that Cyrodiil defects that have troubled players and the development team for many years have finally been solved, but also represent that in 2025, the year when a new era of ESO begins, the game has made another new and representative progress. In short, Cyrodiil Champions is very worth looking forward to. If you want to know whether Cyrodiil campaign gameplay will get better in the future through it, start to experience it on March 24!Mar-20-2025

Elder Scrolls Online: Are T ...
Today, I’ll guide you through the fantastic items available from the Golden Vendor in the Elder Scrolls Online. We’ll explore whether there are any valuable event ticket items in this guide. Leveraging these vendors can serve as a lucrative gold method, potentially helping you make millions. Location When it comes to locating her, you’ll find her situated in Cyrodiil. If you’re in the Blue Team, you can spot her near The Stables within the confines of Northern High Rock Gate. If you are in the Yellow Team, she’ll be positioned towards the bank in Western Elsweyr Gate. And for those in the Red Team, she’ll be stationed in Southern Morrowind Gate. Golden Vendor Items Let's take a look at the offerings from the Golden Vendor and pick some of them for gold. As usual, she's selling some monster pieces and jewelry. Jewelry When it comes to the jewelry, the Queen's Elegance set isn't particularly impressive but if you're building a heavy attack-focused character and lack of combs, this set might provide some utility. It grants a power boost upon using a fully charged heavy attack, allowing for repeated use. Still, there are better options available for heavy attack builds, so I'd suggest skipping this one. Moving on to the Heirloom Necklace, it's not eye-catching, but it's not completely lackluster either. Positioned somewhere in the middle, it offers some stamina sustain for healers in PvE. It's a viable choice if you're looking to enhance group stamina recovery. I recommend acquiring one and invest ESO Gold in it. This purchase allows for experimentation and fine-tuning on the healer character. The next item you have for jewelry is the Unleashed Amulet, part of the Unleashed Terror set. This used to be really good, but it's been nerfed quite a bit now. It's not terrible for a DoT version, and worth getting this if you want to fill up your Sticker Book. But it’s not really worth using unless you go for a super DoT build. Monster Pieces Let's talk about the Lady Thorn set. The Lady Thorn comes from a DLC dungeon, making it a potential acquisition if you're seeking DLC sets. However, its performance is rather middling. You can grab it solely to fill out the Sticker Book, saving the hassle of revisiting the dungeon. Let's then discuss the Slimeclaw. Slimeclaw stands out as an excellent choice, particularly for PvE content. If you frequently play stamina characters, having one piece of Slimeclaw in your setup is quite common. Therefore, I highly recommend acquiring this item. While it's possible to farm it, keep in mind that as a shoulder piece, you'll need to use keys, which introduce an element of chance into the process. Nonetheless, given its effectiveness, I suggest purchasing at least one of these. In PvP scenarios, its performance isn't exceptional, as there are superior monster sets available. However, for PvE enthusiasts, Slimeclaw is definitely worth adding to your collection. Infinite Archive Now, let’s go to the Infinite Archive and see if there are any good leads there. The Infinite Archive can sell leads for certain Mythic Items or antiquities, and some of those antiquities can be quite annoying to farm, especially the ones tied to daily quests. Both leads are really hard to get, so it’s always worth checking it out. The trader in Infinite Archive is located in the Far East, and he’s called Filur. Filur sells two leads typically, and then some decoration bits. This week, he has a blue furniture and a gold lead for the Dwarven Hinges. My recommendation would be to save your resources for this week.Apr-26-2024

How To Unlock Legerdemain S ...
Legerdemain is a skill line you can unlock in ESO that has some handy passives, especially if you like sneaking around and stealing things. It’s an easy one to unlock and you may have already unlocked it without noticing. You will find the Legerdemain skill line in the world category. And if it’s not there, then all you need to do is pick a lock or pickpocket someone and it should pop up. This article will specifically introduce how to unlock Legerdemain Skill Line in Elder Scrolls Online in detail. 1. Unlocking Legerdemain: - Look for the Legerdemain skill line in the world category. If it's not there, pick a lock or pickpocket someone to trigger its appearance. 2. Leveling Legerdemain: - Lockpicking: Engage in lockpicking activities such as chests, houses, and lockboxes. Higher difficulty locks yield more points. Be cautious when stealing from houses, as it may result in a bounty and trouble with guards. - Pickpocketing: Sneak behind NPCs and press 'E' to pickpocket them. Harder targets grant more points. Be aware that getting caught will lead to a bounty and guards pursuing you. - Stealing & The Fence: Steal items to be sold or laundered at a fence. Take stolen items to a fence to sell them or launder them if you wish to keep them. Each sold or laundered item earns one point. Note that there are daily limits on selling and laundering items, so leveling this skill line may take some time. Invest skill points into the Trafficker passive to increase the number of fence interactions per day. 3. Daily Legerdemain Routine: - Visit the docks in Daggerfall, Glenumbra, and loot both ships. This should provide you with enough items to sell or launder. The fence is conveniently located nearby, making it an ideal spot for leveling Legerdemain. This routine also helps you avoid dealing with guards and breaking into people's houses. 4. Bounties: - If you acquire a bounty, you can go to the Fence to pay it off. Bounties are acquired by committing crimes and are measured in ESO Gold. The size of your bounty depends on the severity of the crime. - Guards will approach you to collect the bounty whenever you pass by. You can choose to pay the bounty, which will remove stolen items from your inventory. If you don't pay, guards will attack you until you escape or are defeated. The infamy meter indicates your current status. - Bounties can also be cleared using Edicts obtained from certain quests and daily login rewards. Save them for when you have a significant bounty that you don't want to wait to clear. 5. Thieves Guild: - Consider joining the Thieves Guild as it complements Legerdemain. Allocate skill points to skills like haggling, which increases the amount of money you receive for items sold at the fence. The Thieves Guild offers other passive skills that can be useful when dealing with guards. Remember to exercise caution while engaging in illegal activities and avoid getting caught. Have fun exploring the criminal side of Elder Scrolls Online with the Legerdemain skill line!Jun-19-2023
