Elder Scrolls Online: Update 40 - Endless Archives, Crafting Stations, Group Finder, and New Armor Sets
Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is gearing up for an exciting update, known as Update 40, with a host of new features and content to offer. During a recent Twitch live stream, ESO announced the first public details of this update, which promises to continue the Shadow Over Morrowind storyline for 2023. Update 40 is scheduled to be released for PC/Mac on October 30, with Xbox and PlayStation players gaining access on November 14. Here's a sneak peek into what's in store:
Endless Archive:
One of the major highlights of Update 40 is the introduction of the Endless Archive, an endless dungeon experience. What sets this dungeon apart is its accessibility, as it will be available to all players as a base game update. ESO Plus members will enjoy additional bonuses in this dungeon. The Endless Archive can be tackled solo, with a friend, or alongside a companion. With over 60 unique bosses drawn from various corners of Tamriel, each run promises a different challenge. Importantly, there are no normal or veteran versions of the Endless Archive, and it's not a timed event. Leaderboards will be available for both solo and duo players.
Grand Master Crafting Stations:
Crafting in ESO is getting a significant quality-of-life upgrade with Update 40. Grand Master Crafting Stations will make their debut, simplifying the crafting station system. These stations can be acquired using Writs and will consolidate the crafting process. For instance, the woodworking station can be attuned to include specific armor sets. This change aims to declutter guild halls, reducing the number of crafting stations to just four: woodworking, blacksmithing, jewelry, and clothing, in addition to the essential alchemy and enchanting stations.
Jewelry System Revamp:
The jewelry crafting system is due for an overhaul in Update 40 to bring it in line with other crafting skills. While more details are yet to be revealed, grains will be converted to platings, eliminating grains altogether. Existing inventory will be converted to the new system. Crafting writs for jewelry will also be adjusted to align with other crafting systems.
Group Finder:
ESO is introducing a new tool called the Group Finder, which will facilitate group creation. Players can post group requests for various activities, including dungeons, trials, zones, and even customizable areas. This feature aims to assist console players who lack access to certain PC addons. Additionally, it may help reduce the volume of zone chat discussions in places like Craglorn.
Archival Fortunes:
Update 40 brings a new monetary system called Archival Fortunes, integrated with the Endless Archive content. These Archival Fortunes can be earned and used alongside gold to purchase rewards from specialized vendors. The rewards may include armor sets, Tales of Tribute clues, and other enticing items. More details on these rewards are expected soon.
New Armor Sets:
While the information on new armor sets is limited to the PTS (Public Test Server) at this stage, there's a glimpse of what's to come:
- Wrathsun (Templar class): This set boosts weapon and spell damage, critical chance, and provides unique bonuses related to Dawn's Wrath abilities, adding magicka recovery and bonus damage.
- Reawakened Hierophant (Arcanist class): With a focus on maximum magicka, this set offers beneficial effects to allies based on the number of Crux you possess, including damage shields, Minor Heroism, and Major Protection.
- Soulcleaver (Nightblade class): This set enhances weapon and spell damage, maximum magicka, and significantly augments Siphoning abilities by consuming Ultimate and reducing their cost.
Tales of Tribute - Academ’s Mora:
A sneak peek reveals the name of the new Tales of Tribute deck: Academ’s Mora. While the details are scarce, players can earn fragments for this deck within the Endless Archive and purchase clues from specialized vendors using Archival Fortunes.
Elder Scrolls Online's Update 40 promises a wealth of exciting changes and additions. From the Endless Archive dungeon to simplified crafting stations, the revamp of the jewelry system, and the introduction of the Group Finder, players have much to look forward to. Additionally, the new Archival Fortunes currency and enticing armor sets will add depth to the ESO experience. As the update approaches, players can prepare for a fresh adventure in Tamriel, filled with challenges and rewards.

Elder Scrolls Online Lep Se ...
Seeking breakthroughs should be something that any MMORPG that wants to persist in operation must do. Even if the current game development trend is good, it will soon be eliminated by other competitors without maintenance and updates. That is why, in the current prosperous game market, the classic MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online follows the rules and trends and ushered in a new era of its own in 2025. As the first year after the game held its 10th anniversary event, 2025 has naturally become the best time node for ESO developers to implement various new plans. In fact, at the end of last year, the game gradually announced a number of new plans, such as the game update mode changed from a major annual update to a new season every few months, and the plan will be implemented through the launch of update 45 and the new DLC Fallen Banners. As time goes by, three or four days ago on March 10th, you can finally start to experience update 45 and the new DLC in ESO first through the PC/Mac platform (Xbox and PlayStation login will have to wait until March 26th). It is worth noting that update 45 is free for all subscribed players, but the new DLC has changed the old mechanism and needs to be obtained separately. Therefore, in order to help you consider whether to experience this DLC, we will focus on introducing you to the overview of the two dungeons in it. DLC Fallen Banners Overview The two new PVE dungeons in Fallen Banners DLC are Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt. Although their exclusive plots are different, they have something in common: they will reward you with ESO Gold or other items necessary for playing the game after you complete the relevant tasks. Generally speaking, as long as you are a subscriber to Elder Scrolls Online, you can enjoy all DLC for free before, but perhaps due to the chain reaction caused by changes in the seasonal update mechanism and other aspects, you must currently have an ESO Plus membership to access the dungeons in Fallen Banners. Or you can just wait and see until the developers reveal other ways to get the DLC during ESO Direct on April 10. Dungeon 1 Lep Seclusa Most PVE dungeons in RPGs have a storyline all their own, and Lep Seclusa is no exception. It’s actually home to a little-known group of Redguard monks called Hel Netu, who have long been dedicated to erasing any knowledge of Hel Netu from the rest of Tamriel, making Lep Seclusa the perfect place to hide Elder Scrolls. It’s a method that worked for a long time, as Tamriel all but forgot about Lep Seclusa, Hel Netu, and the mysterious scrolls they held. But as you might guess, there are no secrets that last forever. As the dungeon content unfolds, Orpheon the Tactician and his deserter army have somehow learned about Lep Seclusa, and they believe that the prophecy on the scroll hidden here is the key to their control of Ruby Throne and the empire, so they will use all means to obtain the scroll, and what you have to do is to stop Orpheon and his army when they attack and defend Lep Seclusa with Moth Priests together. Dungeon 2 Exiled Redoubt Unlike Lep Seclusa’s own mysterious story, the relevant plot of Exiled Redoubt is much simpler and the difficulty level will be more friendly. Exiled Redoubt is the underground fortress of a former noble Cato Albus in ESO. He seems to be planning some ulterior conspiracy here, because the plot will tell you that many Alliance War veterans have disappeared here. What you have to do next is to fight in the dungeon with Battlemage Lucilla while investigating, find out the reason for the disappearance of veterans, and crush Cato Albus’s plan. After completing the dungeon, you will receive gold, unique dye, a monster mask, and three armor sets for each class of equipment as rewards. Don’t Miss ESO Direct! In order to let players know the next plan of the game in 2025, as well as the effects and feedback of the recent update rhythm and content changes, Elder Scrolls Online plans to hold an ESO Direct starting at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 10. The reason why you are recommended not to miss this Direct and related programs is that on the one hand, it should reveal more new information about Fallen Banners DLC, as well as some content related to update 46; on the other hand, after watching the Direct and the program, you will have the opportunity to get Twitch Drops, including 150% XP scrolls for watching the live broadcast for 15 minutes and Skill Respecification scrolls for watching the program for 30 minutes. In addition, the one-year ESO 10th anniversary celebration, which started in April last year, has not yet ended, so the event will announce the bonus code set in this live broadcast, which you can use to redeem the 10th anniversary exclusive monkey pet in the game! In short, whether you are a new or old player of ESO, 2025 is definitely the year you should pay the most attention and energy to the game. I hope you can have a great gaming experience!Mar-13-2025

Elder Scrolls Online: A Bri ...
In this guide, I’ll show you an easy way to grind XP in Elder Scrolls Online, which is to destroy Dark Anchors. Dark Anchors are specific locations where Molag Bal’s forces set up “anchors”, each area has 3 anchors. Dark Anchors are not always active. They’re World Events in Elder Scrolls Online, so you’ll periodically see a group of fanatics start summoning anchors with spells and making them active. You can hear the spell from afar and when the portal opens, the horn will sound, and it’s time to fight to defend Tamriel! Location Of Anchors As a quick introduction, I’ll mention that at each location where anchors are present, only one anchor is active at a time. If you discover an anchor, you can observe this on the map. The active anchor has a moving icon, and you’ll also see crossed swords on it. The Order Of Anchor Activation First, you must pay attention to the order in which anchors are activated. For Glenumbra, the pattern is as follows: all you need to do is walk from anchor to anchor in the correct order. One thing to consider, though, is that the time between one anchor activating and the next depends on how quickly the player destroys it. Sometimes the anchor may be active for two minutes, sometimes for ten minutes, or even longer. Therefore, strategies for earning XP may vary depending on how long you play the game. Because if there is almost no one on the server, you can try to close the anchors yourself and walk from one anchor to another in the correct order. Improving The speed Of Your Mount Is Very Important However, oftentimes, especially during peak hours, you may not arrive on time, as many players will close the anchor in a short period. You have to judge for yourself whether you will succeed. It also depends on how fast your mount is, and whether you’re willing to spend ESO Gold to teleport to another location instead of using Wayshrines. If your mount’s speed, the number of players on the server, or your finances don’t allow you to complete the mission, you’ll have to travel to Wayshrines in a specific mode. Recommended Skip Anchor Two Then you only need to skip one anchor, but it doesn’t have to always be the same one. For Glenumbra, the pattern is as follows: If you destroy Anchor One, you need to go to Anchor Three. You will then jump over Anchor Two, which will be destroyed by the player at the time. Next, go from Anchor Three to Anchor Two, because Anchor One will be opened at this time and other players will destroy the anchor point. After you destroy Anchor Two, head to Anchor One. Normally, Anchor Three would be turned off at that time. As for Anchor Three, there is often no one nearby in Glenumbra because it is difficult to reach if you don’t know the way. So sometimes you have to wait longer for it to close, although this is not a rule. I often use Anchor Three’s active time to visit merchants. I’m just here to sell the unwanted items I get when destroying anchors. If you don’t want to run from anchor point to anchor point, you can use one of these. As far as Glenumbra goes, the reason I recommend Anchor Two is simple. Because there is a boss nearby that you can defeat alone or with others if you are powerful. Of course, if you are a new player, it is a wise choice to team up with them to start the boss battle. Sell Additional Items To Merchant In your free time, I recommend looking around for merchants and selling unnecessary items. These merchants are scattered in any corner of the map. But another thing I want to tell you is that it’s worth looking around because you’ll often find chests near anchors. The last thing I want to tell you is obvious. I recommend using Experience Scrolls to double XP you earn from farming if you have them. Good luck!Apr-16-2024

Enhancing Your Elder Scroll ...
The Elder Scrolls Online offers a vast and immersive world filled with endless possibilities. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or new to the game, there are always ways to enhance your gameplay experience. In this guide, we'll explore three essential tips to improve your journey in Tamriel. We'll cover the importance of tutorials, the Endeavors system, and the significance of Mundus Stones. Get ready to level up your Elder Scrolls Online adventure! 1. Embrace the Tutorials: Tutorials are an integral part of any game, and Elder Scrolls Online is no exception. Don't overlook the valuable information and guidance provided by the game's tutorials. They offer essential insights into various aspects of gameplay, including combat mechanics, crafting systems, and character progression. Taking the time to understand these mechanics will significantly improve your overall experience and ensure you make the most of your character's potential. 2. Engage with the Endeavors System: The Endeavors system is a fantastic addition to Elder Scrolls Online, offering daily and weekly challenges that reward you with experience points, gold, and other valuable resources. These challenges range from completing specific activities, such as defeating bosses or gathering resources, to exploring different zones or participating in PvP battles. Engaging with the Endeavors system not only provides you with additional goals to pursue but also helps you progress your character and earn rewards efficiently. 3. Harness the Power of Mundus Stones: Mundus Stones are powerful objects scattered throughout Tamriel that grant significant boons to your character. Each stone bestows a unique passive effect, such as increased critical damage, enhanced health regeneration, or improved stamina recovery. To benefit from these buffs, you must activate a Mundus Stone by simply interacting with it. Carefully choose a stone that complements your character's playstyle and desired attributes. Remember that you can change the effect by interacting with a different Mundus Stone, but the process involves a cooldown period. Exploring the world to discover and utilize Mundus Stones will greatly enhance your character's effectiveness in combat and overall survivability. Bonus Tip: Join a Guild and Interact with the Community: While not directly related to tutorials, the Endeavors system, or Mundus Stones, joining a guild and interacting with the Elder Scrolls Online community can greatly enrich your gameplay experience. Guilds provide opportunities for group activities, such as dungeon runs, PvP battles, and trading. They also serve as a valuable resource for guidance, advice, and camaraderie. Interacting with fellow players can lead to new friendships, shared knowledge, and memorable adventures within the vast world of Tamriel. By embracing tutorials, engaging with the Endeavors system, and harnessing the power of Mundus Stones, you can significantly enhance your Elder Scrolls Online experience. Don't underestimate the value of tutorials, as they lay the foundation for a successful journey. The Endeavors system provides additional challenges and rewards, keeping you engaged and motivated. Finally, leveraging the power of Mundus Stones will empower your character and boost their capabilities. Remember to also join a guild and interact with the vibrant community to forge lasting friendships and create unforgettable moments in the world of Tamriel.Jun-06-2023

How Strong are the Arcanist ...
Today we'll show the three new Ultimate abilities coming with the Arcanist class in ESO Necrom. Like all classes, the Arcanist has three skill lines, each one including an Ultimate ability that has a basic version and two morphs. The Unblinking Eye Ultimate The Unblinking Eye is the ultimate ability in the Herald of the Tome skill line, the DPS focused skill line of the Arcanist Class. This ultimate summons a Watcher above your head that will deal heavy damage in a small AOE with its beam attack. Its two morphs are The Languid Eye and The Tide King's Gaze. The Languid Eye is the strongest morph in terms of its damage output - while it has a shorter duration than the other morph, this is more than made up for because its damage value increases 7% each tick (it ticks every 0.5 seconds for 6 seconds). The total damage output from this skill is quite similar to Elemental Storm, a commonly used ultimate for DPS characters. It also costs less ultimate to cast, 200 instead of 250, however the radius is smaller. So using this as your main DPS ultimate is definitely viable. On the other hand, The Tide King's Gaze deals less damage but lasts for 8 seconds instead of 6, and it also automatically follows your target wherever they go, rather than needing to be manually retargeted. This makes it more suited to PvP situations as it prevents your opponent from avoiding the damage. Gibbering Shield Gibbering Shield is the Apocryphal Soldier ultimate, and like the entire skill line it is focused on mitigating damage, making it ideal for a tank. This skill gives you a strong health-scaled damage shield for 10 seconds, which will reflect all absorbed damage to nearby enemies as an AOE DoT when it expires or is broken. This damage reflection is spread out over another 10 seconds. The first morph of this ultimate is Gibbering Shelter, which removes the damage reflection but instead grants up to six allies a fairly strong damage shield whenever your shield absorbs damage. This is definitely the best option if you're tanking a dungeon or trial with a group, the shields you give to your allies will help to keep them alive during tough parts of the fight. However you honestly might be better off just using Barrier if you want a good shield ultimate for your team. The other morph is Sanctum of the Abyssal Sea which just gives you a somewhat stronger shield compared to the unmorphed version, which also has the side-effect of slightly increasing the amount of damage you can reflect. While this damage reflection might sound good on paper, it's generally not that helpful in PvE , and in PvP opponents can pretty easily move away from you to avoid the damage. This skill is a nice idea on paper but in most situations it really doesn't feel strong enough to compete with existing skills. Vitalizing Glyphic Vitalizing Glyphic is the ultimate from the Curative Runeforms skill line, focused on healing and buffing yourself and allies. It's a pretty unusual skill in terms of how it works - it summons a glyphic which pulses every second, healing nearby friends and increasing their weapon & spell damage. Healing the Glyphic increases the effect. Glyphic of the Tides is the first morph of this skill, which just causes the Glyphic to spawn at a higher health percentage than the original. Healing the glyphic isn't that hard so this is only a minor buff. The skill's effect in general though is pretty interesting - having an Arcanist in your group drop this into the group gives us another new way to buff the damage output of DPS players, which basically gives us another skill to use in optimized raids besides Aggressive Horn and Frozen Colossus. Arcanist healers definitely have something new to bring to the table thanks to this ultimate, and that's great. The other morph, Resonating Glyphic, has the same effect but instead gets stronger the lower its health is. This might be preferred if you don't have a healer in your group or if you're playing solo - you can pretty easily get the Glyphic down to 0% health with some AOE effects, which will maximise the effect of the buff and heal. This ultimate is definitely going to bring something new to the table for optimised groups in PvE, and probably PvP too. It will be interesting to see if this finds a place in the meta or if it will just be an interesting off-meta option.May-16-2023
