Elden Ring DLC: How To Master The Passive Abilities In Armor? - Top 10 Armor
The most attractive items in Elden Ring are the armor and sets scattered around, which are essential for players who want to defeat powerful enemies. Many armors are equipped with unique defensive properties, which are effective against various elemental attacks and different types of damage. Read this guide to learn about the value and unique characteristics of these armors.
10. Divine Beast Head
Divine Beast Head is the head of divine beast dancing lion that players must fight in Belurat Tower. This mask provides players with significant strength and dexterity increases, while also enhancing storm-related skills. Specifically, the player’s strength and dexterity are increased by 4 points each, making Divine Beast Head mask one of the most significant armors in the game. However, to balance this tremendous advantage, the helmet also weakens the effect of flasks and affects the player’s concentration.
9. Royal Remains Set
Royal Remains Set is made of decayed and rusted metal. After wearing this armor set, the player will look like a living undead skeleton. This armor provides the player with a passive healing over time effect, which is a unique feature for an armor set. It is also great for those who are not too keen on managing health potions in combat.
8. Twinsage Glintstone Crown
Twinsage Glintstone Crown is a tremendous boost to all mage builds. The crown makes the player look like two large stone heads fused together at the ears. The helmet increases the player’s intellect by 6 points, allowing many players to easily meet their spell and weapon requirements after equipping the helmet. However, wearing the helmet also comes at the cost of the player’s maximum HP and stamina, which are reduced by 9% respectively. For many mages, the benefits of this armor outweigh its disadvantages.
7. Mushroom Crown
Tailored to the theme of rot and decay, Mushroom Crown is perfect for any scarlet rot or poison-based build. After inflicting a scarlet rot or poison status nearby, this helmet greatly enhances all damage. The damage boost applies 10% to all instances of damage for approximately 20 seconds. This buff can also stack with other poison-related buffs.
6. Black Knife Armor
Black Knife Armor is adorned with a unique set of pearlescent scales, with a translucent cape covering the chest plate. This set of armor provides the wearer with complete stealth, allowing them to fulfill their dream of being an assassin in Lands Between. Players can get close to their enemies without alerting them.
5. Rakshasa Set
Rakshasa Set is stained with blood, reeking of bloodshed and carnage. This set of armor provides the wearer with 8% overall damage boost. This is a significant boost, as it applies to all damage dealt by the player wearing it. However, the armor also effectively makes the player take the same percentage of damage.
4. High Priest Hat
High Priest Hat is a very valuable piece of armor that many people may overlook. Obtained after completing Count Ymir questline in Cathedral of Manus Metyr, this helmet increases the intellect and arcane stats by 1 each. While this isn't the biggest boost in the game, it is free. It is one of the few Elden Ring Items in the game that gives a free dual stat boost.
3. Silver Tear Helmet
Silver Tear Helmet is one of the biggest and most valuable stat boosters in the game. This mask features a unique design of a liquid metal teardrop on the player’s face. This helm maximizes the arcane stat, boosting it by a massive 8 points. However, this tremendous advantage also comes with a corresponding disadvantage. Equipping this mask will reduce physical damage output. But for any player who wants to create the most powerful arcane builds, this mask is a good choice.
2. Imp Heads
Imp Heads are one of the most common enemy types in Catacombs, usually appearing in conjunction with Skeletons. Defeating these enemies can yield some valuable rewards. Each imp type has its own weapon and signature helmet, and each imp has a chance to drop its own unique helmet that provides different stat buffs to the player. However, some helmets have a drop chance of only 0.5%. After equipping these helmets, you will get a nice 2-point stat boost to intellect, strength, dexterity, and even endurance.
1. Guardian Garb
Guardian Garb is worn by enemy guardians in Minor Erdtree. Any player who equips this chest armor will receive increased healing from flasks of crimson tears. Healing from a flask of sacred tears can be increased by 10%, and in some cases the player can even receive additional healing. However, this armor will reduce the player’s overall fire resistance.
These armors not only help players gain an advantage in combat, but can also be selected according to different combat styles and needs. Whether pursuing strength, intelligence, or dexterity, the armor in Elden Ring can provide powerful support for players. Elden Ring: How To Wield Th ...
Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana is a newly created weapon type that belongs to Great Katana in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Together with forceful swings of Greatswords and swift slashes of Katanas, Great Katanas stand a perfect balance in aspects of attack power and speed. Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana belongs to a special blade in view of its particular ability to create extra damage to dragons. By the way, if you want to upgrade your character’s performance and increase some of your attributes of your character, getting some Elden Ring Runes will be a brilliant choice. However, slaying dragons does not constitute the whole features of this weapon. When it is accompanied by Talismans, Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana can be applied to kinds of scenarios, with PvP and PvE being included. The Way To Acquire Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana With Ancient Dragon Man dungeon boss being slayed, Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana will be harvested then. This boss garrison was at the end of Dragon’s Pit dungeon, the entrance to Jagged Peak. Starting with Castle Front Site of Grace, riding south and Dragon’s Pit will be found. Along the way, Ancient Dragon Man, represented as spectral form, will attack you and its physical form will be seen if you enter the end of Dragon’s Pit. The Stats & Scaling Of Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana Though Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana may sound grand and hard to get, actually, players of a kaleidoscope of builds could access to it. Moreover, to wield the weapon to its maximum effect, you even do not need a respec of the character. Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana requires stat attributes of strength to arrive at the level of 15 and dexterity of 20 separately, and reach the scaling of D at the same time. Katana also characterizes its particular skill of Dragonwound Slash, which can not be substituted by another Ash of War. When this weapon being used, Katana will wear a jagged gravel-stone’s aura and release a reaping slash that will create bonus damage to dragons. To optimize its potency, you can charge the skill. And as the integration with a specific talisman, its damage output will be significantly refined. It normally will take three seconds to completely charge Dragonwound Slash skill and during the skill animation, you will not be compensated with hyper armor. Therefore, you’ll need to find the appropriate chance to attack an enemy with this skill, making this combat strategy a high-reward choice at the cost of high risk. The Combination With Talismans It is undoubtedly that Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana is essentially a splendid weapon. However, we can wield its potential to maximum by combining it with certain talismans, and then it could create unbelievably tremendous damage. There are four talisman selections enable the weapon’s Dragonwound Slash skill to enhance the damage output and promote attack power prominently, and they are Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Godfrey Icon, Shard of Alexander and Two-Handed Sword Talisman, respectively. The Bond With Armor There are numerous armor equipments provided by Elden Ring, each offering various protection of different level and optimizing equipment load. While damage negation can be maximized and high poise can be offered by choosing your favorite armor, transformation tools introduced in Shadow of the Erdtree should be given more attention. Rock Heart transformation will help you represent the appearance of a humanoid ancient dragon and boost resistance while promoting Dragon Communion Incantations. However, this transformation could only be used under the circumstance that any armor should not be equipped, which will decrease your damage negation. So you can choose to bring a lighter equipment load. You can solve Dragon’s Domain painting to acquire Rock Heart. However, if you propose that armor is more appropriate than transformation tools, choose a set that offers decent poise while allow you to maintain moderate equipment roll will be a wise choice. Let’s take Rakshasa’s Set for an instance. It is a set that will increase damage by 2% for each armor worn and then help you create massive damage. Equipped with full Rakshasa’s Set, you’ll get an extra 8% damage, and the buffs you gain from spells, consumables, and talismans are not included. The Integration With Incantations & Sacred Seal The two significant Incantations that you can complete with Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana are Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength. They are both of strong potential. Golden Vow incantation increases the damage designated to enemies by 15% and reduces 10% damage you’ve received. Similarly, Flame, Grant me Strength incantation enhances your damage output by 20% and offsets fire damage by 20%. Besides Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength, if other spells do not be included in the category of your choice, then choosing a particular Sacred Seal should not be worried about. In comparison, if you choose Rock Heart transformation, you could match it with Dragon Communion Seal to replenish build and further increase the damage output by Dragon Communion Incantations. Just remember to grant yourself the 20-second buff by using Rock Heart in its transformed state. The Unite With Wondrous Flask Of Physick In Elden Ring, Wondrous Flask of Physick is an indispensable element in the progress of accomplishing a build. Through complementing tears, your build can further be enhanced and you are accessible to tailor the effects of the flask as the way you like. In this case, you are going to maximize the damage dealt with Dragon-Hunter Great Katana and ensure proper defense simultaneously. The following mixture of Tears will push your offensive and defensive abilities and leap forward: Deflecting Hardtear: You can acquire it by eliminating Furnace Golem who roams in Gravitesite Plain. This tear could make enemy attacks be deflected before the attack hits you, enabling you to follow up with a forceful guard counter. Stonebarb Cracked Tear: It can be gained upon defeating Putrid Avatar in Caelid. Consuming this tear enhances the stagger damage you deal to enemies, helping you quickly strike poise breaks with fewer attacks. The Combination With Great Rune Finally, a variety of effects could be attained by activating the following Great Runes: Godrick’s Great Rune: 5 flat levels across all attributes will be added to this rune. Radahn’s Great Rune: It will advance the value of HP, FP, and Stamina. Malenia’s Great Rune: It will support you to harvest the lost HP while hitting an enemy. In a nutshell, let’s enjoy the game first. By the way, if you are interested in finding more game resources, you can log in iGMeet discord. Elden Ring: The Best Route ...
Bonny Gaol is one of the optional mini-dungeons you’ll encounter when you begin your Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree journey. It’s tucked away in the secluded area of Scadu Altus and is a tough nut to crack. However, just like the other gaols, Bonny Gaol is still a dungeon worth exploring because there’s some really nice loot and amazing rewards waiting to be collected at the end of the quest. One of the great loot you can find at Bonny Gaol is Night Armor Set, which is the same set of armor worn by Jolan, the main NPC in DLC. In this guide, let’s take a look at Bonny Gaol location, a full walkthrough for completing the dungeon, including where to get Armor of Night Set, Shield of Night, Hefty Cracked Pot, Curseblade Meera Spirit Ashes, and Stalwart Horn Charm +2. Getting To Bonny Gaol First, we’ll cover how to get to Bonny Gaol, starting at Moorth Ruins Site of Grace in Scadu Altus. From there, we’ll move a short distance east and a little south to find a ramshackle entrance to the ruins below. We’ll have to be careful when entering the ruins, as it’s possible to die from fall damage. Note that there’s still some value in the insignificant items in the ruins, so feel free to explore. Not only can you enrich your build with these items, but you can also trade them with other players for additional Elden Ring Runes, killing two birds with one stone. Once we get close to the bottom of the ruins, there should be a tunnel leading southeast, out of the ruins, to Bonny Village Site of Grace. Bonny Gaol isn’t far away. To get there, head south from Bonny Village Site of Grace and cross the wooden bridge. Be careful, there are Spider Scorpions on the way to Gaol, but there aren’t actually any in Gaol. How To Complete Bonny Gaol? This dungeon is relatively short, but it does require a little backtracking and trickery. Hefty Cracked Pot Going down the main path, we’ll first drop two hanging jars to reach a secluded area. As we head to the southeast room, be careful of the jumping Jar Innards. New enemies added to Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. These weird creatures are contained in giant jars. Keep an eye out, you’ll also find a Hefty Cracked Pot here. The enemies here are annoying, though, so we should deal with them first before going to the sigil to the west and standing on it. It should glow and summon the hanging jars to come down. But if it doesn’t work the first time, jump on it and these jars will take us back to the top floor, and from there we can follow the path to the west. Stalwart Horn Charm +2 Behind the door that needs to be opened, there is a chute that we can jump down. Once down, we’ll move east and go through the tunnel system. At this point, keep an eye out for the annoying corpse oozes on the ceiling. At the end of this path, there is a ladder that we can climb to get Stalwart Horn Charm +2. Armor Of Night Set & Shield Of Night We will then retrace the previous route back to the tunnel system. This time, we will move a short distance west and then turn south. We can run along this path the rest of the way out of the tunnel system. Continuing forward, we can pick up Lost Ashes of War on the way, but nothing else of note. Once we exit a large cave, we will go west, down a staircase and through a door. After going through another door that needs to be opened again, we will jump onto the hanging pot to the north, but be sure to stay on it as it descends. If it doesn’t start to rise on its own, jump on it. It should lead us to a higher area where Armor of Night Set can be found. We will then also need to keep an eye out for Jar Innards that swoop in as we follow the southern passage to get Shield of Night. Curseblade Meera Spirit Ashes Next, we need to enter the cave again and go down the slope to the west room where there is an enemy sitting on a chair. We then jump down the cave and land in a river of blood. Go west towards a tunnel full of slime enemies. Then turn south to another tunnel and jump down at the end. Continue running east past Living Jars and then drop down to another area full of hanging jars. Go north past the enemies and eventually reach a platform full of black shadow enemies. Go west until a jar elevator appears and take it to the bridge full of enemies below. Once you defeat or ignore them, you will drop down to the lower platform. Going west, we can find a fogged gate. Behind it is Curseblade Labirith boss fight from Elden Ring. It moves the same as the one seen when the player enters Land of Shadow, except that Curseblade Labirith will release black shadows and become invisible. Therefore, it is recommended that you try to stay in the corner and lure the boss to come to you and show up. Once you defeat it, you will get its Curseblade Meera Spirit Ashes as a reward. The above is the complete route to complete Bonny Gaol dungeon. Although this is just an optional dungeon and will not have a big impact on your major story, the rewards you can get from completing it are definitely worth your effort! Come and try it out!Jul-14-2024

Elden Ring: Build Your Ragi ...
The arrival of Shadow of The Erdtree DLC has dropped a lot of new gear, especially some Samurai-related weapons. If you enjoy destroying anything with wild swings and inflicting bleeding on your enemies, then this Raging Rakshasa Samurai Build is definitely what you are looking for. In this guide, we will cover the play style of this build, what gear to use, the best amulets, useful gameplay tips, and more. So that eventually you will master the enormous power of the newest weapons in DLC and delete everything that stands in your way. Gameplay Raging Rakshasa relies heavily on the power of Rakshasa’s Great Katana, hence the name. Swinging this Great Katana violently is able to deal a lot of raw damage and apply additional bleeding effects, making it even more deadly. In addition, when making said swings, players will also gain a huge Hyper-armor to focus more on destroying enemies, especially bosses. Raging Rakshasa also has high Strength and Dexterity, and a little Faith Stat that grants attack and defense boosting buffs. Its overall gameplay is simple but very effective. Weapons Now that the basic gameplay is out of the way, let’s move on to the gear you need to complete Raging Rakshasa. Main Weapon: Rakshasa’s Great Katana Let’s start with the major weapon of the build, which is Rakshasa’s Great Katana, one of the newest weapons added in DLC. This Great Katana requires 12 Strength, 27 Dexterity, and no Arcane Scaling, which is really weird in my opinion, and it’s D scaling for Strength and B for Dexterity. Not only does Rakshasa’s Great Katana look really exceptional, but it also offers a devastating skill, Weed Cutter. This skill cuts the target horizontally and removes it like a weed, so its name matches its ability. As long as they have Stamina, the user can extend the use time of Weed Cutter, and it only costs 8 FP per use, which is crazy. This skill hits like a truck every time it swings, and since it has an additional bleed effect on top of the original damage, you’ll be dealing a ton of damage in a matter of seconds. Additionally, the user will gain Hyper-armor in the middle of the animation, allowing them to defend against or face normal attacks. While it sounds OP, it has its downsides. While having Hyper-armor is good, the user will also take more damage in the process. And I think the animation of Weed Cutter is very slow, and if you don’t use it correctly, you’ll be vulnerable. Secondary Weapon: Finger Seal Moving on to the secondary weapon for this build, I recommend using Finger Seal. While any Seal will work, Finger Seal is the easiest one for us to get. And by equipping Seal, we can get the buff later. Finger Seal is the starting equipment for Confessor and Prophet classes. If you don’t choose either of these classes, you can also choose to get it directly from Twin Maiden Husks for 800 Elden Ring Runes. Spells With the weapons out of the way, let’s move on to the suggested spells. Flame Grant Me Strength I mentioned that we’ll be getting buffs when using this build, so the first one on the list is Flame Grant me Strength, which provides an additional 20% Physical Attack Boost and Stamina Recovery Buff. Golden Vow The second buff on the list is, of course, Golden Vow. This buff increases overall damage by 15% and adds 10% Damage Negation, which is very helpful for us to offset the negative effects of Weed Cutter. Related: The Best Route To Quickly Complete Ymir And Jolan Questline In Elden Ring! Talismans Next, let’s get to the best Talismans for this build. Shard of Alexander The first Talisman on the list is our major hit, Shard of Alexander, which increases skill damage by 15%, especially when performing Weed Cutter. So be sure to slot this one. Lord Of Blood’s Exultation Since we deal with Bleed procs a lot with this build, I recommend slotting Lord of Blood’s Exultation. This Talisman will provide another 20% attack damage if blood loss procs occur near the user, which happens all the time when using this build. Two-Headed Turtle Talisman Next on the list is Two-Headed Turtle Talisman, which greatly increases Stamina Recovery. This is an upgrade from Green Turtle Talisman, and it will become the main Talisman I use in my build. My gameplay and strategy always revolves around super aggressive gameplay and strategy, so most of the time, I’m completely running out of stamina. Therefore, the faster my stamina recovers, the more damage I can do to the enemy. What’s more, there are a lot of times you’ll find yourself with no stamina, especially after using Weed Cutter skill. Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman For the next Talisman, I recommend slotting Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman for an extra 20% Physical Damage Negation. There’s a good chance you’ll be taking a ton of damage, especially when using Weed Cutter skill, so the damage reduction this Talisman provides will greatly help you survive. Not to mention that almost every enemy in DLC can take 1 or 2 shots and die, so you need this talisman. Stats Let’s move on to the stats for Raging Rakshasa. Starting with Vigor, 50 points have been assigned to it. Since I’m used to Glass Cannon Builds, I rarely assign a lot of points to Vigor, however, since this build is more likely to go head-to-head with enemies, I think 50 points are best. If you’re really good at the game, you can lower it. But if you’re still tuning in, make sure to assign 50 points, otherwise you’ll have trouble resisting the impact of all the enemies in DLC. Next up is Mind, which has 25 points assigned to it. You can at least bump it up to 20 if you want and add it to your other stats since this build doesn’t require that much FP and Weed Cutter is very cheap to use. Talking about Endurance next, we have allocated 30 points to it since the intended gameplay for this build is super aggressive. You will be facing off against bosses most of the time and will continue to use Weed Cutter skill, so I feel 30 points is enough for now. Of course, Endurance being an offensive stat, the more you have, the more damage you will be able to do. In addition, you will also want to have at least 50 Strength and 79 Dexterity so that you can match up well with Rakshasa’s Great Katana. These two are the key attributes of this build, so pay attention to them. Next is Faith. We allocated 25 points so that you can use the aforementioned Golden Vow and Flame Grant me Strength. Finally, since we don’t need Intelligence and Arcane, no points were allocated to them, they remain at 10 points. How To Optimize This Build? Now that stats are out of the way, let’s move on to Raging Rakshasa’s gameplay and optimization tips. Prepare Wakizashi The first tip I have for you is to prepare Wakizashi and fuse it with Ash of War: Golden Vow. Now, this tip is only for when you don’t want to invest up to 25 points into Faith. While it’s relatively weak, with it you can still increase your damage by 11.5% and increase damage negation by 7.5% across the board. Of course, feel free to use any dagger, I just used Wakizashi to match the theme of the build. Improve Your Opener Secondly, optimizing your opener is also crucial. When the fight starts, I usually use Flask of Wondrous Physick first to make my continuous attacks more powerful. And, to get more damage negation, I will choose to cast Golden Vow to deal more damage and damage reduction. Finally, pop Flame Grant me Strength for more attack boosts, then rush the boss and start executing Weed Cutter skill. Use Weed Cutter Wisely The third tip is to manage Weed Cutter skill wisely. You can still die if you use this skill carelessly, so use it intentionally and leave time to use the skill. Gear Up Properly For the last tip, if you are playing well and don’t need damage reduction, you can swap out Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman for something like Rotten Winged Sword Insignia to get more damage. You can also remove Opaline Hardtear and choose something like Strength-knot Crystal Tear, or get more stamina regeneration by equipping Greenburst Crystal Tear. That’s all about Raging Rakshasa Samurai Build. More top builds are coming soon as more new gear emerges. Try to choose the one you like best and start your adventure!Jun-26-2024

Elden Ring: What Did We Dis ...
Recently, a lot of Elden Ring fans were invited to Paris for a preview of Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. How can you preview an expansion for what is already one of the largest and most flexible games ever? When what players like and dislike is largely dependent on specific choices in terms of builds, an expansion as massive as Shadow of the Erdtree, coming two years after Elden Ring, only makes things more complicated and impossible to describe with any degree of generality. Here, we’ll analyze some reports of players’ preview experiences and discuss some of the weapon arts, environments, bosses and difficulty that will be added to the expansion! Before Entering First, I have to say that it feels almost impossible to effectively preview Shadow of the Erdtree. I’d wager that a large portion of even its most devoted fanbase has yet to personally experience everything that Lands Between has to offer. For example, the parts of the game that people have experienced, which areas they enjoyed, and what problems they may have had in the base game all depend on countless personal choices made in terms of highly specific builds. Now, with Shadow of the Erdtree coming on June 21, 2024, we’ve suddenly expanded that initial dilemma: more zones, tougher bosses, more gear to experiment with, and more variables by which your own experience will subtly change. As a result, you might feel that your personal experience is harder to convey to an audience with any real generalizability. New Content Available For Preview Anyway, let’s take a look at what’s available in Shadow of the Erdtree preview event. We have three classes to choose from: Warrior, Knight, and Sorcerer, and each class is set to level 150. The team says this is just an arbitrary number they settled on for the preview, and that you can access the class after defeating Radahn and Mohg, with different stats prioritized differently for different classes. We have access to two large, separate areas of the huge new world that Erdtree offers: Castle Ensis and Belurat Castle Settlement, and have three hours to do and see what we can. However, this simplified campaign structure does nothing to prepare players for what’s coming. Add to that the inherent weirdness of any preview, you’re in a strange place, aware that you’re being watched. The biggest difficulty is how to begin to convey what actually happened in that narrow preview window. So this preview won’t be a completely comprehensive analysis of everything in the expansion, just an accurate recollection of what players experienced and were impressed by. Still, there’s so much to dig into here! DLC Is Difficult I think one of the first things you notice when jumping into a DLC is that it’s going to be hard for most players. Almost every player in Early Access booted up Elden Ring in the first few days, either to get to DLC access points or just to brush up on the control mechanics. If you haven’t already, I recommend doing so to regain muscle memory of Elden Ring’s unique and sometimes unforgiving pace. It’s also worth stocking up on some Elden Ring Runes and consumables in advance. As we wandered across this vast new plane, it was hard not to be struck by the scenery before us. Ephemeral Graves dotted the landscape, stretching as far as you could see, and the light from the cracks in Erdtree illuminated it. A far cry from the alluring golden glow of the original game, a dreamlike, beautiful, and intimidating picture. But be careful, because just when you’re enjoying all this, an enemy suddenly appears from nowhere and knocks us down with a single fierce attack. Players need to bravely fight this new opponent, but there are dangers all around, and some people were killed before they even reached the two custom areas we were allowed to explore. In short, from the beginning, Shadow of the Erdtree is an experience that requires constant vigilance. The already occasionally unbearable brutality of its base game is increased tenfold, and this brutality has not really weakened in the three-hour preview. Ordinary enemies will increase their own strength and attack you in groups, and the most insignificant enemies will usually punish you quickly because you underestimated them. Seriously, although you can enter DLC after defeating the two must-kill bosses, if you haven’t raised the vigor level to a reasonable level, you’re dying here. Even though Warrior class I’ve been using for most of this has been upgraded to level 55, the highest of all the available builds, it’s still tough. And since we’re heading into the full version of New Game+, things will inevitably get more challenging. New Weapon And Skill Selection Tougher than any of the enemies, however, is the choice paralysis I felt for a while during the preview. While most spells are obviously limited to Sorcerer, there are a number of new weapons for any build to try, including a variety of Axes, Spears and Swords, as well as a host of weapons that are becoming popular favorites in the form of new Martial Art skills. If used correctly, they can quickly wear down an enemy’s stance. Beyond that, the new combat options, such as the wealth of new weapon arts, make me feel like any of them could become a new favorite if we had more time to practice. But unfortunately, we had to look at the class requirements of the available content as much as possible before I could thoroughly master all of this stuff. Given the challenges of the above content, this strategy requires honing in on the builds that work for the time being. For me, that would come in the form of Backhand Blade, as this weapon seems to be the most satisfying choice between damage output, range, and reach, and its associated weapon art, Blind Spot, further enhances this ability. Plenty Of Areas To Explore If you only have three hours to see what’s on offer in DLC, efficiency is important, as the two areas we were allowed into look at least as densely populated as some of the larger castle areas in the base game. Castle Ensis, for example, seems to be the more difficult of the two castles, and it reminded me of Raya Lucaria Academy, with its emphasis on Sorcerers and Magic. The more densely populated Belurat Castle reminded me of the decay and decay of Leyndell. You’ll be carefully examining every visible nook and cranny before moving on, as you can guarantee there’s something waiting to pounce on you compared to the base game. Why The New Expansion Is Worth The Wait? If there’s anything exciting about this preview, it’s not necessarily any single design element, enemy, or gear, but the fact that in a few weeks we’ll suddenly have all new Elden Ring to decipher, a whole new world full of secrets waiting to be uncovered. FromSoftware really seems to have used the two years since the base game’s release to make this happen. While players have three hours to explore two enormous areas of this world, they definitely haven’t seen everything these two areas have to offer. By the end of the preview, you’ll realize that these two areas are just a tiny dot on the much larger map of this expansion. There’s so much more that you can’t even imagine, which is incredibly exciting. What do you think of this new expansion? Are there any other things you’ve discovered that were surprising? Anyway, let’s look forward to Shadow of the Erdtree in a few weeks!Jun-05-2024
